Friendly and efficient reception. Room was excellent albeit a bit noisy, that's London so no big problem. The evening meal was appalling. Ordered steak which was very thin and tough, very poorly presented and chips hard in the middle. We went to a local pub where other guests of the hotel were eating. They were there after experiencing the same standards. Shame really as the hotel is pretty good.

I am always looking a good travel deal as I have to travel into London regularly for work as a charity trustee, therefore location and value are a must.

This hotel is a perfect location, Lambeth North tube station is 2 minute walk away, and the station is not a busy one, tubes were never mobbed compared to other places i have stayed.
Waterloo is only one tube stop away and there is plenty of little shops for bits and bobs nearby.

The hotel itself, is basic. Rooms are fine, they are clean and warm (maybe too warm) and again it does what it says on the tin. If you want the finery, book the Hilton, if you want a decent sleep, breakfast in the morning and a quick run into the centre then this is perfect.

Check in and out was fast, we had wake up call and taxi booked for my partner's early morning departure and nothing was any trouble.

An excellent location for work or pleasure. I will definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a place to stay, short term near London West end I can highly recommend the Days Inn. Excellent service, clean hotel, Staff as helpful as possible.*

Reading other reviews, regarding lack of wardrobe space or small showers, I would say,
"So what!" We were not looking to buy the room! Simply sleep there for a couple of nights.

We all should expect to compromise a little if we want to spend our money on a fabulous time in London and not on a luxurious hotel.

*My only minor (very minor) issue was that I did not meet a single member of staff who spoke fluent English. So ordering drinks (orange squash) or Whisky with ginger or pepper sauce for steak meal was a minor niggle, more amusing than annoying to be honest.

Considering we were practically the only English people staying here, as we were like everyone else, tourists, we understand it is hardly an issue at all.

Fantastic prices (for London) Excellent helpful staff. Very close to tube station. Ten Minute walk to London Eye, twenty minute walk to West End theatres.

Simply unbeatable, all things considered.

The hotel is clean and well run. The room I had was fairly small but this is to be expected in London. However the room is well appointed and the bathroom is stunning on first view. My only issue with the bathroom was how awkward it was to get into the shower as the door swings past the sink so you have to stand to one side until it's past you then step into the cubicle. Breakfast is partly in the lounge and partly in a small breakfast room, which was only slightly bigger than the bedroom- take your breakfast in the lounge as the breakfast room is uncomfortably intimate. A good choice hotel on a budget. The breakfast itself, was slightly underwhelming.

Room Tip: my room was close to the main road at the front and it was a little noisy.

Stayed in Days Inn for 2 nights and the hotel is very good. Staff are very helpful, friendly and always smiling.

It is very well located close to Lamberth north tube station, internet is free and most important a very reasonable price considering hotels in London.

Room Tip: The closest tube station is Lamberth North, although the Location is Waterloo if you get off in Wate...

The location is excellent for the price we paid (we got a deal, around 70$us per night). Even though it is an ordinary immediate neighborhood, many tourist attractions are easily reached by foot which is a big plus in London!! We almost didn't have to pay for transportation during our stay.
The room is small but cozy, very comfortable bed, OK bathroom, clean and cute. No bath but ok shower. We really felt at home during our 4 nights there.
Staff is not so great, some are super nice others not at all. We arrived on Easter Sunday and it was very obvious that the two girls were very unhappy that they had to work...
If you like Indian food, you gotta try Imperial Tandoori on Kennington Road (2 minutes walking), it is really good and prices are right. I miss it!
Overall a great experience still, highly recommend it, especially if you get a deal like us.

positive: location (Bakerloo line stations), clean, free good speed internet, service

negative: bed's too soft, outdated decor, disappointing breakfast, it was quite noisy as well

Generally good value for money with not too many compromises
