“Standard Travelodge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

I have stayed here a few times on business and have always found it to be absolutely fine. The rooms can get a little stuffy in the summer and the windows don't allow much air in so this can be a little uncomfortable however I have seen people say they have asked for fans which have been provided which I did not do, so maybe try this if you are too warm. The rooms are the standard Travelodge set up but in terms of location and value for money, this is pretty good.

Stayed here in August just for 1 night, husband took me to see Les miserable so this hotel was in perfect walking distance from the train station (London, Euston) and to the Queens Theatre. It's smack bang in the middle of the west end and also about a 10 minute walk to the Thames. This hotel was considerably cheaper then the other ones around. If your just after a nice clean basic place to stay, this is it! There was no hairdryer in your room so remember to take your own. Had everything else TV, Tea and coffee facilities etc.. They don't have room service (no phone in room) so everything needs to be ordered at the bar. You can order pizza 24/7 which we did at night when we wanted a bite but did see a lot of people taking Domino's in. My husband added breakfast on which had everything you would expect. I'm more of a continental person where the other half like like a big fry up in the mornings! I was overall pleased with food, everything was clean and dished up well.. The husband wasn't as pleased, he didn't think there was much of a range nor did he taste as good as others he's had and next time he won't add breakfast on and would prefer to go outside elsewhere for breakfast, as there are a lot of places about.
The staff were very friendly, especially the bar man that served us (sorry didn't get a name) he couldn't do enough for us.

Overall I'm pleased with this hotel and shall return on our next trip to London.

Stayed here yet again, two friends for a couple of days in London.
Some good minor changes. Tea/coffee/milk now available to collect from the bar area so you can top up for use in your room. Also a fan provided for the lovey warm nights. Staff great, cleanliness good and great value for location when booked well in advance.

Ideal location for theatres, Covent Garden and Seven Dials.
Refurbished rooms practical and spotless.
Took advantage of late checkout.
There are some excellent local breakfast places - plan to use them!

On arrival I paid the £10 for early check in at 1200 . The room we were given ( 501) was courtyard facing and did not have a mirror with a power socket nearby . It was a bit stuffy and claustrophobic . I asked for a different room and was given a different one to take a look at by the friendly reception staff. Room 606 was much better and gave a view of the Shard . Whilst it was a hot few days the fan in the room did help . The room was clean, functional and the bed was comfy . Wifi reception was poor . The location in Drury lane is excellent . Assuming we were given an outside room we would stay again.

I found the hotel to be clean, updated and perfectly adequate. TV was small compared to Premiere Inn and shower relatively weak in flow but I had a nice nights sleep (I was on the 5th floor) and the room was nice and new. I also got an omelette at a little cafe nearby for breakfast. I wish I had taken a note of the name. It was on a side road opposite the hotel with a ballet shoe/dress shop nearly next to it (that shop being on Drury Lane). Run by continental owners and superb!
