We got a very good deal online. The room was minimalist, but adequate -- clean and comfortable. Comfy beds, no storage, no phone. If you just want a cheap place to crash, this is it. If you're looking for any luxuries, don't come here.

Hotel is in fact two buildings on either side of High Holburn, both of which look like converted office blocks. We stayed in the one on Drury lane. Rooms are basic which is to be expected from this chain of hotels. The size of the room isn't large however I have stayed at 5 star hotels in London that where smaller. Cleaning of room wasn't good, hair in sink and shower. Tea and coffee are provided in room with additional tea bags and coffee available free of charge in bar area. One tiny bar of soap is provided , towels are a bit on the rough side and there is no shelf in the shower for shampoo etc . Shower was never very hot. And ladies there is NO hair dryer.
The bed was very comfortable with two thick pillows each. Our room 551 faced out on to High Holburn so traffic noise was a problem. We where there for 4 nights 23-27 March , for 3 of them one of the two main lifts was out of order. The breakfast was plentiful though choice was limited. We didn't use bar area as there are plenty of pubs within a short distance. The location was great with the main theatre area and shopping within 15-20 mins walk.

Room Tip: Try and get a room that faces away from road. View not as good but you will sleep better. Also there...

Stayed here at the end of March to meet up with some friends. Room very clean but the sink tap was a bit loose. I could live with that. the hotel seems to have been built in a converted office block and is on 2 sites on opposite sides of High Holborn which could be a bit confusing. The website makes it clear though.

One problem is that one of the lifts wasn't working and the other was getting a bit crowded, also I had problems with the wifi, I kept getting DNS errors.

Other than that a nice stay at a pretty good price for Central London.

My husband and I visited London last weekend and due to the location of the two shows we were seeing, one of which was a late night jazz performance, we decided to stay in Covent Garden. We chose the Travelodge on Drury Lane for convenience and because it had undergone recent refurbishment which included the beds. It is a very large hotel but booking in at 12 noon was easy as we had paid for early access. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was a massive improvement to the normal Travelodge beds. The old beds were about the most uncomfortable I have ever used, so uncomfortable we always took our memory foam portable mattresses to place on top. We had an excellent nights sleep as the bed was comfy and the room location meant it was extremely quiet for central London. The decor was somewhat sparse but as long as you are comfortable and the room is clean you can overlook that for one night. The staff were friendly and very helpful and obviously very professional as there was very little noise from other guests so they must monitor comings and goings I imagine. We would definitely stay again, especially if we could get a good rate,

Dirty bed and linen, shower not working, don't expect any toiletries in bathroom , smelly drains, not even a cup of drinking chocolate on site, cooked breakfast was good although choice is a bit limited, overall very expensive and very poor quality.

Stayed here from the 25th March - 28th March. The hotel is very clean, room 406 is a twin room, a little on the small side but we were out all day and evening so it didn't bother us. Beds were very comfy, bath and shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water. What really surprised me was there was no traffic noise at all, had amazing nights sleeps. The hotel is in the best location, close to all the theatres, Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Euston Station, we only used the Tube once during our stay and that was due to it raining. Staff were very pleasant throughout.
