Stayed at this hotel for one night, before leaving for Heathrow. (small taxi fare to paddington station for the heathrow express...FYI). Nice hotel, located a block from the tube. Staff were very kind. Had a nice dinner in the "chat's" bar. Hotel was undergoing outside reno's but nothing you would really notice.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your positive review of the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park and for your very kind comments regarding our hotel, staff and Chats bar.

As you mention in your review, our hotel is currently undergoing a ‘facelift’, the outcome of which will be a full balcony and exterior refresh to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. The refresh is taking place from 09:00-17:30hrs, Monday-Friday only so as to minimise any impact on our guests; we are very pleased to hear that it did not affect your stay.

Thank you once again and we hope to welcome you back soon.

Kindest regards from the team at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

This hotel has a tremendously helpful staff, and it is in a wonderful part of town. It seems reasonably laid back in attitude, and the attractions of the St. John's Wood neighborhood, Primrose Hill, and Regents Park are within easy walking distance, and it makes an ideal base for visiting the American School in London and exploring the surrounding area. Although other reviewers rave about the beds, our beds were only so-so, with the mattresses distinctly uneven, although not terribly uncomfortable--just average hotel sleeping fare.

The hotel seems a bit dated, and it seems to aim primarily for a corporate/business traveller market--which is okay, but it may make the more artsy types feel a little out of place. The rooms are comfortable, but they do charge extra for wifi access--which seems like a bit of a dig since the price of the rooms (in spite of the upscale London neighborhood) already seems high enough to include the wifi for free.

The bathroom was nicely appointed, although small, but our drain drained very slowly, leaving the last to shower (there were three of us) standing ankle deep in undrained water.

So, would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you are doing business in the area. But if you are seeking something with more of a "special" feel, this probably won't be it.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park with other travellers, and for your very kind comment regarding our staff which we will pass on to the entire team.

Although internet is, as you mention, chargeable in the bedrooms, we do have complimentary Wi-Fi available in the lobby, bar and restaurant; we do nevertheless take your comments into account and will be sure to pass them on to our head office.

We are sorry to hear that the drain in your bath was not draining properly, and we would be very grateful if you could respond to our private message so that we may find out in which room exactly you experienced this issue to ensure that it has been rectified; we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you very much once again and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

From the minute we arrived everyone at the hotel made us feel very welcome. Plenty of staff on hand to help with luggage, parking tips, concierge really friendly and helpful with maps and local directions to attractions. A big hotel that managed to feel homely. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool, which was quiet and very clean. The breakfast selection was brilliant with balloon modeller 'princess' greeting us on arrival.

I spent 5 nights at this hotel..I must say i rested very comfortably. The hotel is not far from London main attractions, and is on the Jublilee tube line for which you will need and oster (travel) card to get around. Otherwise there is the option of Black Cabs, which can be pricy, so as i love a deal I popped into the Library across the road and got a mini cab number...now thats a deal as it cost me £5 to Edgeware Rd on mini cab...(£12 avg BLK Cab). the hotel is no Ritz, it actually looks like a block of council flats from the road, but once inside it was OK. I didnt use the creational facilities (Gym /Pool). Internet is free in Lobby, £25 per hr in room (extorsion) so if you dont mind, like me, i spent half and hr in the lobby/bar in the evening and morning to check emails etc. overall, the room was a good size, clean and comfy...and thats all you need really

Dear Guest,

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park. We are very glad to hear that you found your bedroom very comfortable and enjoyed a restful stay with us.

We would like to take this opportunity to add to a few of the points raised in your review. Wi-fi internet is indeed complimentary in the lobby, bar and restaurant; in the bedrooms it is priced at £15.00 per day or £6.00 per hour. It is possible to buy a 1-day or 7-day travel card to travel on the underground without the need of having an Oyster card. Alternatively, there are many buses which can take you directly to the many attractions which London has to offer.

Thank you very much once again and we hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you again soon.

Kind regards from the team at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

Stayed here to celebrate a Special occasion with my wife. Reception was busy on arrival, but the two receptionists were calm and very pleasant. Stayed in an executive room, with use of the executive lounge and felt thoroughly spoilt! Lovely clean hotel throughout and all staff very attentive. Enjoyed the Spa facilities, although too many children were having swimming lessons, which cut short my swim. The executive lounge was 'fantastic' & we will definitely return. Great location as we visited The Shard, during our stay which was only 17 minutes on the tube.

Friendly and efficient check in. No fuss.
Excellent room. Good size. Well furnished and well prepared. The bathroom was very clean and had a large stock of shampoo etc. Even separate soap for basin and bath. A nice touch. Hugh amount of storage space. Efficient air conditioning.

Breakfast was at a high standard. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Only the shower let the hotel down. A cheap shower head and low water pressure combined to give a gentle trickle.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and were so pleased with our experience. Not only were the rooms comfortable and clean but the service was fantastic. Checking in and out was quick and both receptionists were attentive to our needs. Jason Duxberry was extremely helpful, offering us assistance with our luggage and helping us extend our checkout. Overall, would highly recommend.
