I stayed for two nights on the tail end of a weeklong trip to Europe.

I purchased my room on the net at a great rate. The room I was assigned initially was a bit of a design mishmash. The lighting was so so, and the shower wall ( frosted glass) faced the bedside......so no night lights were possible. The room had a bit of a stench, and i asked for a reassignment.

Without any quibble or argument, management assured me that they would move me, and they did in quick fashion to a lovely room. very comfortable bed, nice linens, great pillows, and quiet environment.

Room servicing was unobtrusive and reliable.
The bathroom was large, the shower strong, and sink storage sufficient.

All in, a very nice stay, at a nice hotel.

The is sold as afternoon tea and a tour of the hotel, but on arrival we were sent straight for the tea. Asked about the tour and was told this would be sorted out. The afternoon tea wasn't anything to be impressed with and felt like being on a conveyer belt. After tea we again asked about the tour (which is part of the price) and was told 'no tour, its now late and you can't have it'. Reminded that the time was confirmed with them and was simply told 'no tour' and shown the door. Totally unimpressed, especially when I emailed several times to find out why they sell a tour that doesn't take place and the they wouldn't even reply. Disgusted, don't book it, this is a rip-off.

We stayed for a long weekend for my wife's 50th. unfortunately we were unable to book a room with a bath either on line or by phone. However we did, with Hamilton's help, end up with a room with a bath.

The room was good, the service was great, the hotel's location was perfect for great access to Covent Garden, the London Eye, Waterloo, the British Museum etc.

All the staff were helpful and informative. The deal was great value as the hotel standards were high. The hotel was very busy and were also holding an external event i.e. Virgins Wines which made the front lounge very full.

We loved the breakfast service including the table management and the friendly staff.

Overall our experience was very good and given the price deal was very good. We are planning another stay.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a bath, request it when booking and arrive early and re-state your request...

I used to love the Waldorf at the Aldwych, London. It was elegant and dripped charm. The Palm Court was the epitome of style with its plants, sofas and garden atmosphere. I went on 13 October 2012 and could not believe my eyes. I felt I was in a shopping centre cafe. It souless, physically cold and 100% disappointing. If you want to feel special, go somewhere else.

Only stayed one night B&B. Found staff more than friendly in all area's.
Room wasn't ready(no problem)offered a glass of champers with our afternoon tea because of,and gladly taken,
Afternoon tea was much as one would expect, not disappointed in anyway, but not outstanding in anyway either.
Room was okay,a bit on the small side. Made up for by having a large bathroom. All very comfortable, all amentities on offer in the room.
Public reception rooms are very nice.Homage room looking a bit tired in parts.
Overall would still recommend this hotel for its locality and overall standards.

Just one note for housekeeper.Main Light in room(18 mini shades)all covered in dust. Not expecting this in 5 star establishment?

Room Tip: High floor.Floorboards do creak so less noise if on top floor.

Spent 4 nights here. Part of a romantic birthday surprise for my husband. Room was little too modern for my liking - but neverteless spotless and beautifully designed. Very convieniet for our night out at Sadler Wells Ballet.

My Wife Wendy and I stayed at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel for 3 nights from 5th to 8th October to celebrate Wendy's 65th Birthday, we were given Room 304 which was a beautiful room, with superb amenities. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the framed portraits of Marlene Dietritch on the walls including one in the bathroom!
The Homage Grand Salon where we had breakfast each morning was a true delight, the decor and the selection of food was out of this world, the staff were so friendly.
We also went to the Novello Theatre to see Mamma Mia which was fantastic and will be in our memories for ever. It was so good to be able to come out of the the theatre and walk a few yards and be back in our hotel room.
As I have a mobility problem and use a wheeled walking frame and at times a walking stick I was surprised that there was a stepped entrance to the hotel, once inside there was a very useful small lift up to the reception desk area which was a great help. There was unforunately a few more steps along the corridoor from the main lift on floor three to room 304. I managed these with some difficulty. The steps were the only problem in the hotel that I encountered.

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems, do state this when booking.
