First time in London, and the location could not have been better! We could walk to the London Eye, Westminster, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. There are two tube stops, one just two buildings away for all the other sights you want to see. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and unusually spacious for a European hotel. We had a one bedroom unit, and the bed in the bedroom was an American King. The pull out sofa in the living room actually pulled out to two separate twin beds; great for kids! All the appliances worked and were great; they even came with directions on how to use them. Loved the combined washer/dryer in the closet; we didn't have to lug home dirty laundry! Front desk staff was great; helpful if you asked, but not jumping all over you every time you entered. They answered every question (where is the nearest grocery store, etc) happily and helpfully. There was street noise at night and in the morning, but you are steps off of Trafalgar Square and the Strand, and this is just what you get in that location. We brought our white noise machine and had no problems sleeping. We loved this hotel, and will go back again if we ever get back to London.

First visit, great location, we could walk everywhere we needed. Tesco very close too which is useful for these apartment hotels. Room nice size and very quiet. Only problem...you pay for an apartment which is equipped with a kitchen! First night, dishwasher and microwave didn't work. Microwave replaced, we never could get the dishwasher to work. Room servicing far too late in the day. Nothing worse, returning to your room after a long, tiring day to find it hasn't yet been serviced. Happened every day. We would probably return and try again.

These serviced apartments were in a fantastic location. Minutes walk to so many attractions and 2 tube stations. We never had a problem getting around. There were laundry facilities to wash our clothes after 1.5 weeks travelling through Europe was much welcomed!
The check in was easy and relatively fast, room was available despite arriving early. We were on the mezzanine level which only provided half a window for natural light as we were in the top half of the lobby floor. This did make the room a little dark, however we just left lights on.
At first we thought it would be a problem as we were so close to the footpath, however the noise from the street was never really a worry despite it being a main road leading into Trafalgar Square.

The bed was a double, smaller than what we are use to, but it was comfortable. The kitchen facilities were great for making breakfast each morning to save money on eating out all the time, plenty of mini-supermarkets around to buy supplies.

The bathroom was fairly small in comparison to the room size and water from the shower did seem to leak out due to poor design, making the floor wet and the floor mats drenched every time we had a shower. Also elderly may find getting into the shower difficult as it is over a very high bathtub, no issues for us though. Sink location and design was poor with little bench space, however we managed fine during our 4 days there. Only one chair provided for the table, would have been better to have two.

There was always a constant smell of cigarette smoke in our room and hall outside our room, we notified reception who said it was the maids who use inscents in the room but this did not seem right. It was not a pleasant smell.

Air con was not always the most efficient, however it was a 'heatwave' while we were there according to news broadcasts, however as Australian's it was certainly not too hot to bother us, but it did make for some warmer nights than we would have preferred.

All in all, a few small faults however would stay here again, great location and modern/clean facilities.

we've been there in 2011, before the Olympic games, and they were still in the process of refurbishing the old rooms... I assume all the rooms are refurbished by now.
However, we got first a room of the old lot - dirty, smelly, dusty - and noisy from the traffic jam. We asked to change it - luckily there were some refurbished rooms still available on the top floors, but they come with a surcharge (90£ per day) - the refurbished rooms are just excellent - so we went for it. Then we had to change again, since the first room we were given had a few problems with the bathroom. The staff was very helpful and willing to help. The position of the hotel is great, a few steps from Trafalgar square and close to 2 different metro lines. Free wi-fi available in the rooms.

Our family of 4 dtayed for 5 nights. The staff was wonderful, always friendly and helpful. The locations is absolutely perfect! Located just steps from Trafalgar Square and the Thames. Just across the Thames is the London Eye. Westminster is within walking distance. There are two great pubs around the corner and a small grocery. There are restaurants - including some familiar fast food chains very nearby.

We had a room at the very end of a hall, a corner room. It was a one bedroom apartment. The layout was simply awful. It was not the floor plan shown on the web site at all - probably due to the location on the floor. The door opens to a hallway with 5 doors. There is a toilet in a room by itself right inside the door. Straight ahead is the door to the sink and shower - a nice size room. Then around the corner a closed (too shallow to hold hangers) and the door to the main living space and the bedroom.

The living space and bedroom doors would not stay open - even our attempts at propping them failed. The living space and bedroom were good sizes. The bedroom had another small closet, but it was filled with the ironing board. The living space had a couch that opened into two single beds - great for the kids. The kitchen occupied a corner to one side. There was a TV in the living space and a table with two chairs. There were two additional plastic folding chairs in a closet.

The kitchen had a small refridgerator. However, it did not chill down anything put into it. We called and it was replaced. The second fridge had the same problem, so we called again the next day it was replaced - finally with a working model. We purchased ice cube trays as there was none in the room and no ice machine in the hotel.

The constant going in and out of rooms, opening and closing doors was annoying from the start! We left the bed open for the kids so there was never really anywhere to sit and watch the TV - not that there was really anything worth watching. The living space had two windows at the corner overlooking a street and the alley between the hotel and the Sherlock Holmes Pub. Across the street was another pub, which made me worry about the noise as we were just two floors above the street - but we had not issues with noise at all.

We were in London for a bit of a heat wave, and the room just has air cooling - not full air conditioning. We would have liked it to be cooler, but we were ok once we had ice to put in our drinks.

I did laundry in the launderette - 22 pounds for two loads. I thought it was extremely expensive. The launderette has two washers and two dryers. The detergent is built in to the machine so you don't have to purchase or bring any of your own. Expect nearly 2 hours per load. I also did some laundry in the tub in our room, but the air circulation was poor and it took at least two days for anything to dry.

Check in and check out were simple and quick. The staff was excellent. The lobby area is inviting. The area of the elevator has a very convenient map showing the area around the hotel with a walking time estimate. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel "restaurant" as it was not included in our room cost. We purchased food around the corner and ate in our room.

Overall it was a good stay. We enjoyed London very much. I think we would have enjoyed it more in a different room in the hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid the corner rooms at the end of the halls just due to extremely poor layout.
