“Excellent location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

We stayed in an apartment for four people in July 2012. The apartment was small, but well appointed and the location was excellent. The apartment contained everything we required for a few nights in London including a bedroom, double bed setee in the living area, a tiny bathroom, a compact kitchen area and a separate toilet. The location was brilliant - just off Trafalger Square and a two minute walk from Charing Cross tube station and very close to many major attractions including the National Portrait Gallery. The hotel reception staff and the housekeeping staff were very pleasent and helpful. We used the hotel car park which is a chargeable extra - the car park is located around the back of the hotel via a narrow doorway leading into a car lift which goes down to a small underground carpark - be warned the car parking spaces are small and manoeuvring a large car may be difficult!

I missed my last train home to the country and stumpled accross this hotel. At £200 a night, last minute booking, centre of London I couldnt really complain.
However for the discerning traveller you should note the folowing:
Tiny bathrooms with heater adjacant to the toilet - would not like to think of what happens to your legs when the heat is turned on!
No coffee facilities. No drinking water. Strange tiny kithen area hidden at end of room.
Dark, dank and not so jolly. Next time I think Ill book a bench on Hyde Corner!!

Studio apartment with a kitchen that has everything you need for a short stay. Two minutes walk to Trafalgar Square, and the same to Charing Cross & Embankment Tube stations.
Co-operative for supplies just by Charing Cross Tube. Would definitely stay again.

Travelling with a family of 4. We rented a 1 bedroom studio that we booked for a discounted price on Booking.com. The studio is really modern, clean and spacious. There is a hairdryer and ironing board. There is a small kitchen with a small fridge and microwave. The bathroom has a bathtub with a great shower. There is a tv in the living-room and a tv in the master bedroom. Overall very nice for a family with kids.

What could be better ? the beds. They are all very uncomfortable. If you have a bad back I would not recommend it. They are as comfortable as a folding bed where you feel the springs digging in your ribbs. But for a short stay like a long w-e, it should not be an issue.

What we really liked?
The location. At 2 minutes from Trafalgar square, 10 minutes from London Eye. There are several Tube stations close by.
The service. Great customer service. At the reception they spoke French also.

We did not try the breakfast but it is possible to take it here also.
There is also Free Wifi and it's possible to print stuff in the lobby where you can dispose of 2 brand new computers. So if you need to buy tickets online for an attraction you can do it there and print your tickets right away there.

Last point, even though is an apartment hotel, they clean the studio everyday.

Room Tip: For a family of 4, you can choose the Studio One bedroom. There is a bedroom with a queen size bed a...

we stayed here with 4 adults and a five year old in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself has everything you would need but is a strange layout. The entrance, combined kitchen/lounge and toilet are all on the lower level with the 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. The toilet doesnot have a wash basin in it and the nearest one is the kitchen sink. So unless you want to walk upstairs to the bathroom its the kitchen one you use. We did go out and buy some hand sainitizer to overcome this.
The size was just enough for us but i would definatley not stay here if there were more than 4 adults or a small family. To do a load of washing at the hotel guests laundry it cost 11 pounds!
Its in a fantastic location right in the heart with Trafalgar Square, The Mall, The Horseguard and the Thames all only 50 meters or so away.
I dont think you could get better self contained accomodation in central London for the price and would stay here again - though maybe in a a 1 bed apartment.

Room Tip: The 2 bedrooms on the high floors offer no views as the windows are very high - you need a chair.

...beats right outside of the doors of Citadine's. That is likely the hotel's strong suit,...along with an accommodating, helpful staff, and updated rooms with small, but servicable, kitchenettes. You can easily walk to most of the major attractions of London from this address. They even offer umbrellas for you to borrow at the door, which is a thoughtful touch. They secured great transportation to the airport for us...but, be aware...you will want to have 65 pounds in cash (plus tip) on hand to obtain it. There are several advantages to this hotel, particularly in thanks to the overall customer service.

However, with that said, I do have to mention the items they could work on. Their internet service is one. What an unreliable nightmare this is. This may not be your hotel at all if you are in London on business and require consistent, reliable access.

The breakfast is passable, and of a "continental" style, basically. Just don't expect much.

Finally...please bring back sheets, wash cloths, and toiletries befitting a hotel of this calibre. Not everyone wants to spend the night kicking back and forth as they sweat beneath the comforter without a lighter alternative (sheet?); and even if they don't mind that, they'd likely want to properly bathe away the sweat in the morning!

At the end of the day, this hotel is probably overpriced for what you get...even though London is notoriously, almost prohibitively, expensive. However, if your primary concern is a convenient location for sightseeing with friendly, professional service...well, I just don't believe you can do much better.

Room Tip: If your room faces the front of the hotel, get a higher room. The traffic noise will be less of an...

We stayed in a family room at the top floor for 2 days. It was spacious and very clean. The kitchen had everything we need, including handwash and dish-washer detergent. Even though I did not expect room cleansing service because this is an apartment hotel, I found the room tidied up with tea-towel replaced. I was able to book online tour at one of the two computers in the lobby lounge. Just ask the helpful and friendly reception staff for username and password, their computer's speed was satisfactory at about midnight when I used it. I did not know the speed in the morning because the computers were usually occupied in the morning. This did not bother us because even there was free wi-fi in the room, we did not have time to use. The location was very good so that we could walk to the Thames riverside to overlook the London Eye. We also walked to the St James palace to watch the Change of Guard and followed them to Buckingham Palace. Leicester square was within walking distance and some of the shops including M & M World opened late till 11pm. We felt safe to walk around even late in the evening. Covent Garden was also within walking distance. Embankment tube station is just at the corner next to the riverside. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
