Premier Inn London Hammersmith Hotel
Ranked #427 of 1,081 Hotels in London
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Just home from a long weekend @ premier inn. Thanks to Tripadvisor our party took a tube from Heathrow (Picadilly line) changed @ Acton Town (District line) and got off at Ravenscourt Park, a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the area & stands out so very easy find from tube station. We didn't feel like a 15 minute walk down King St. with all our luggage in tow. Rooms all on small side but when in London, very little time spent in bedroom. Hotel very clean & housekeeping attended to our rooms every day.

Only 2 issues with our stay: there are 2 lifts servicing 13 floors, 1 was out of order so waiting for a lift was a pain at times & travelling from 6th floor down could be a timely task. We took the stairs when under time pressure. Aircon wasn't working in one of our rooms on arrival, highlighted this with reception & got a new room without any hassle.

We only got breakfast in the hotel on 1 morning as it was pricey, we walked 5 minutes down to Plough & Harrow (Weatherspoons) the rest of our trip.

Rooms will not be ready before official check in but reception held our luggage. They also held our luggage on check out as we weren't flying out til evening.

No coffee to be bought here. Although Costa Coffee heavily advertised, the machine was out of order. Coffee at breakfast was in a flask. Again, not an issue, we ate breakfast out & there is a great selection of cafes/restaurants within a stones throw of hotel.

We ate in the hotel restaurant on 1 night, very good value and food tasty. Excellent service.

Reception staff very friendly and obliging.

Anyone driving - there seemed to be plenty of parking spaces available.

I would stay here again as very good value and location.

Close to the tube, good parking, welcoming reception and clean room! Breakfast was good given the kids eat free!

Bit of pain that only one lift was working, but overall a typical clean premier inn.

I would consider staying at again if the price is right!

Our first trip to London, and we chose a reasonably priced hotel near a tube station to easily access all the sights. The room was nice and clean, what one would expect. Their good night guarantee was fine, as we did get a good rest in the bed and with the blackout curtains in the rooms. I'm not sure what is standard in hotels, but generally I assume that sheets on beds are changed every night or every other night -- ours were changed once on the last night of our 5 night stay.

I understand that this is meant to be a budget affordable hotel, but there are a few issues -- there are no phones in the rooms (perhaps another way to ensure a 'good night's sleep') but we were given a card with a phone number to the front desk saying that if there were any issues, to call that phone number and it would be dealt with. We aren't from Europe and our cell phones did not work at all. Had there been an emergency we would not have been able to contact the front desk. We also gave that number to our friends who were also visiting (and staying in a marriot downtown) to perhaps try to contact us through the front desk, but when they called the number, it went unanswered and didn't lead to any recording or message system. The other issue we had was that we arranged this room with the knowledge that there would be wifi included at the hotel. It wasn't made clear until we were using it that there are only 30 minutes of free wifi included per day. This was our primary method of communicating with others while on our travels, and had we known that we would have to pay additionally for more wifi per device, we would have gone with similarly priced hotels that included that in the price. Perhaps it's our fault for assuming that 'included wifi' meant more than 30 minutes each day.

The staff at the hotel were all very nice, helpful and courteous, and did their best to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Perhaps this hotel chain itself is more suited to people from the surrounding area staying for business or for a trip into the city.

This hotel wasn't bad. It is in a good location - just opposite the Ravenscourt Park tube station, it is clean and it is reasonably priced, however it is just a bit old and has a run-down feeling. What I like most about the Premier Inn is that you can usually guarantee that the bed will be comfortable and this one wasn't as I could feel the springs digging in to my back. also, the bathroom is a bit small and is impractically designed.

The second time we have been here. As good as the first time and exactly what you want. Excellent value and very good breakfast. Easy commute to the centre of London.

I made a mistake and booked for three nights instead of two and as it was a special rate so they couldn't refund however they did refund the car parking fee which seemed fair enough.

Very recommended.

Premier Inn serve the most fantastic breakfasts and with out doubt offer the best customer service and high standard of cleanliness.
At this hotel I found the room very small and the single beds very uncomfortable and there was no telephone, which I don't like.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location - tube is just a few minutes walk and takes you in to central London. The Family room was a fabulous size - huge king size bed and two singles - lots of pillows and blankets.
The restaurant staff were exemplary - friendly, efficient and thoroughly professional. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
