Premier Inn London Hammersmith Hotel
Ranked #427 of 1,077 Hotels in London
Reviewed November 13, 2011

Booked hotel to go to Hammersmith Apollo but was further away than I had expected, still walking distance however and tube close. Hotel was good value for money - not perfect as it is an old 1960's tower block but very clean. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Did not eat there as didnt have time but plenty of places in vicinity. Would use that hotel again if I needed to be in area and would definitely use Premier Inn again.

Underground station only 5 minutes walking distance. Good clean rooms and bathrooms. Safe location, with multiple cchoices of eateries withn 1 km distance. Good sounproofing in the rooms. Pleasant and courteous staff, always helpful. Takes only 10-15 minutes to London central. Definitely will recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: opt for family room

We chose this Premier Inn so that we could visit London without having to catch the late train home. It's really conveniently located and great for a quick tube ride into town.

Clean room, good parking and helpful staff.

HOWEVER..... a little 'but', and a very strange one at that... The wash hand basins are teeny, the size you might expect in a caravan. This alone is not a deal-breaker, but there is a glass shelf mounted directly above the sink. This renders it completely useless for anything other than a quick hand wash. Washing your face is absolutely impossible without cracking your eyebrow on the edge of the shelf.

Also, I note that some other reviewers rated the view, we missed out on this in room 101, so next time would ask for a higher floor.

We will definitely stay here again, but take face wipes with us!

These Premier Inns are far better appointed than Travel Lodges.

A quick tip, skip the overpriced and very standard breakfast and nip down the road to the Hampshire Hog. Full English at £10 isn't cheap but is extremely good. Papers, a relaxed atmosphere, and fabulous wholesome choices. If we had been staying longer, we would have liked to go back here again for another meal.

Room Tip: The higher the better for city views.

I tried this PremierInn for my short trip to London this time. Due to the good reviews, also about other PremierInns I always wanted to try one myself. It was everything I hoped for. An extraordinary friendly staff, you felt welcome the minute you walked in, all very safe (Lift only to operate with key card) and clean. Comfy beds and room size big enough. Another big plus is the perfect location of this property. It may not be the nicest PremierInn from the outside, but the surrounding area is quiet, clean and we felt safe at all times. Hammersmith Station is within walking distance, and if you don't feel like it, just take the bus in front of the hotel. You can even ride directly into Kensington high street without changing buses! There's a little 24/7 market across the street and a nice cafe next to it. The cab ride to LHR was only 28 Pounds so with 4 people in the car it was so worth it. No schlepping around the full suitcases. I recommended the hotel already and for me it was definitely not the last stay here. Thanks and see you soon....

Room Tip: Room 409 has a huge bathroom and is very quiet. Room 401 was right throught he door from the lifts...

This is not your run of the mill Premier Inn as it is located in a tower block of about 12 floors. Stayed in a family room with two adults and two children on the 9th floor. On arrival the children's beds were already made up (take note, Travelodge!) and the room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. There were great views over London which were even better at night when everything was lit up.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and staff were unwaveringly friendly and courteous.

The hotel is handy for Earl's Court and is only about 200 yards away from Ravenscourt Park station on the District Line, so access to public transport is very easy.

Highly recommended and would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.

Room Tip: For great views get a room on as high a floor as possible

For what we needed, this was Ok but not great. The room was tiny and its only saving grace was the size and comfort of the bed. Not cheap. Couldn't find any evidence of the " from £45" ( or whatever their headline rate is) on any days in Sept or Oct. It was a similar story for all the so- called budget hotels in this area.
