“Amazing afternoon tea”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This was just an amazing experience from start to finish, the staff made you feel very special and the service was 1st class. Although not cheap have to say it was value for money with endless cups of fresh tea, endless sandwiches, scones and cakes - just the most amazing and very special atmosphere

“Fantastic Afternoon Tea”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Afternoon Tea at The Savoy was truely fantastic. The service and food were both outstanding. Another good point is that you are not packed next too oneanother like sardines as you generally are in other reputable five star hotels when having afternoon tea. Considering the amount of food, endless refills and superior service, the price for the afternoon tea is in my opinion at great value. We will definitely be returning and has now just jumped over Claridges as my number one spot to have afternoon tea.

Expensive bad sad. Quite tasteless and cheap quality bacon at breakfast. One small half tomato. Even two eggs with little taste - organic??

Seriously. I haven't given any poor reviews yet. For this price I'd rather go to Ritz or Fortnum & Mason. The scones are not even close to warm. The desserts are way too sweet. Plus I feel like the waiters there are not willing to replenish the food. The piano performance was terrible and amateur. I believe the Savoy hotel is more capable of selecting better and well-dressed performers. The red velvet cupcake I bought at the cake shop however was very nice.

“A lovely treat”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

As soon as you step into the Thames Foyer restaurant you are treated like Royalty. All the staff are very attentive, we were brought the teas we had chosen then our first 2 courses, a cake stand with a lovely selection of finger sandwiches, 4 scones, 2 plain and 2 fruit with clotted cream, jam and lovely tangy lemon curd, the staff keep filling your cups up when passing, asking if we are happy with everything and if we wanted anymore sandwiches when we had eaten the first lot, we declined afraid we wouldn't have room for our sweet delights. Again when we had eaten our delicious scones were asked if we wanted more, again had to decline because we wanted room for the rest, we were then brought a selection of small fancies to try and after that cake. We were never rushed took our time and savoured every moment and delicious tastes. Everything was perfect.
