Stayed in the north gower street apartments as they were cheaper, and was a bit worried at the lack of photos. We needn't have worried. As good as the Cartwright gardens and arguably a more convenient location close to three tube stations (all less than five mins walk away, eustin square just 1 minute)
Decent bathroom and toiletries and will definitely be back! Very quiet too!
Good size bathroom (this is London remember) and decent kitchen facilities....

My room was small, the bathroom even smaller and if you're overweight, you would not have fit into that shower.

The place is expensive with very little that leaves you feeling like you've gotten value for money. The bed was VERY comfortable, I will say that. And the location quite ideal.

The cancellation policy is tricky and will have you paying out of your you-know-where if you don't read it properly. And if you stay longer than 3 days or so, they charge you for cleaning your room. Yes. I read the terms and conditions upon check-in. And if you don't show up for your booking, they will absorb your deposit and charge you the same amount as a cancellation fee. It's truly ridiculous.

You'll get better value for money at a hotel. The Pullman is literally around the corner from there. Book with them.

Dear Andong,

Thank you for taking your time and submitting the review. We appreciate guest feedback, and would like address on the points that you raised.
We can assure you that all rates published online both on our own website, as well as on all booking agencies sites include VAT and service. There are no hidden costs and we don’t charge our guest for maid service. This service is provided free of charge if you stay with Studios2Let for more than seven days. What you have read on your registration card is that we “expect the apartments to be left in a reasonable condition on departure”, and “if additional cleaning is required the cost of this cleaning will be charged as an additional charge”. On practice it means that if we find the apartment being vandalized and/or furniture being damaged heavily, than the guest will have to cover the expenses incurred by us.
Our cancellation policy states that we require seven days’ notice, should you wish to cancel your reservation free of charge. This does not apply however to discounted bookings made under special conditions, where 50% deposit or full prepayment is required however in cases of cancellation/no show we do not charge the outstanding balance.
We hope that will help you and our prospective guests to understand our policies, and will clear all the doubts with regards to the costs and charges.

Stayed at these apartments for a week during the Olympics last summer.

Yes, the rooms are quite small but they are clean and very comfortable. Everything is provided for a self catering stay even though we ate out most nights.

There are 2 reasons why we booked the apartment for our stay; value for money and location. The apartments are very reasonably priced and are located within walking distance of St Pancras. Several pubs, restaurants and shopping centre are a further 5 minutes walk away.

Would certainly recommend for a short stay in our nations capital

We recently spent 7 nights in London and decided to go with Studios2Let (Russell Square) based on the generally positive reviews, as well as a recommendation from a friend who had stayed there in the summer.

SPACE: Although it was readily apparent to us from the photos of the rooms on the website that the rooms were going to be on the smaller side, we did not realise how small the rooms actually were until we had checked into our room (Flat 15 in no.30-31 Cartwright Gardens). The bed occupies almost ALL the space in the room, thus leaving you with a small length of space barely the width of one person to walk between the toilet and the window. It is also impossible for two people to move about without obstructing one another. My wife and I had one big check-in luggage and one duffel bag between us, and there was insufficient floor space for us to open both bags at it was. If you are travelling with more than one piece of check-in luggage, I doubt you will be able to open both bags simultaneouly. We ended up leaving the check-in luggage on its side under the small table, and left the duffel bag open in the small cupboard.

BED: The bed is only a double bed, and some people might find that a bit of a squeeze for two people to share, especially if you are more used to queen- or king-sized beds. The beds were very, very soft and afforded absolutely no support for my back. I suffer from a slipped disc and experience pains and aches in the lower back region from time to time, and the bed often left me with a sore tenderness in the mornings. My wife commented that she could feel the individual springs poking into her, whereas I did not experience that. The pillows were nice and soft, and the sheets were very clean, however.

TOILET/WC: We specifically asked for a room with en suite facilities (we understand that some rooms do not have attached toilets). The toilet was very clean and well ventilated, although on the small side. The shower was tiny, and I often found myself hitting the walls with my elbows as I showered. The hot water was very good and was much appreciated in the middle of the winter!

HEATING/AC: The heating throughout the room was very good, and we could adjust the thermostat to our liking for both the toilet and the room. The room also comes with air-conditioning for use in the summer (very important, given how stifling rooms can be in the summer without cooling).

LOCATION: Fantastic. We were merely a 5-10 minute walk to Russell Square, Euston and King's Cross St Panras stations. Brunswick Shopping Centre, together with a large Waitrose, is also a stone's throw away only.

QUIET: Our room faced the rear of the property, where there is no through road, and consequently, we found it to be very quiet and peaceful.

OVERALL: Definitely good value for money, although the rooms are on the small side. The staff are obliging, though not always the exuberent and friendly, and will try their best to accommodate your requests (we asked for early check-in and late check-out). They are happy to hold your bags for the day as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with en suite facilities. Rooms facing the back are quieter. There are no lifts, so a...

We spent three nights here. It was a small room, but we knew that from when we made the reservations. The tiny kitchen had all we needed to make full meals. Toaster did not work, but the bathroom was nice, and the bed gave us a good nights rest. Overall we had a nice stay here.

This was clean, cheap, great location and did everything I needed. Only downside was that the room was a little drafty when in bed. I imagine this would be solved if there was a head board. Other than that, it was exactly what I needed for a two night business trip at a great price for what you get!

I chose this hotel based on generally positive reviews, and the location (central, proximity to The Tube). While the location was great, everything else about this studio left much to be desired. One can expect the size of hotel rooms in large cities to be modest, but this was ridiculous. The bed took up the entire space of the room, with no space at all to sit or stretch out. The bed itself was lumpy, with no back support. The kitchenette was barely functional. The room safe did not work. The bathroom was elf-sized. The advertised free wireless internet was non-operational. Just to add insult to injury, getting up to the room required going up 4 flights of narrow stairs. The price point is relatively low - but you get what you pay for. Next time, I'd opt to pay a bit more for a better room elsewhere.
