“Great location with cement beds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

The staff was great and friendly, the hotel clean and neat with some modern touches. The big let down was the beds, traveling to London on a regular basis I am used to the size of the rooms but I left with a backache the mattress was beyond hard and they could not do anything about it! The rate was 230 pound almost 400 US I expected a ire comfortable sleep experience.

Pros: across the street from train station (Warren St), 10 minutes to Euston and St Pancras
Tons of restaurants nearby, including the on property outlet which was pretty good.

Room Tip: If you want a comfortable sleep don't stay here

Average food with average service which is a shame as surroundings are nice and give the impression of a quality hotel. I had an hour to kill between meetings and ordered a hamburger and chips for lunch. Chips were very greasy and burger was not very hot. With a coke it cost me £15 including the tip already added to the bill!!! Won't be rushing back.

Clean, high quality, friendly hotel and great location.
Lovely & helpful staff; a few were 'in training' at breakfast but it was fine - I guess we all have to learn at some time. Breakfast was lovely but the background music was too loud especially for a Sunday; apparently it couldn't be turned down as the level was set by the management?
We asked for a quiet room away from the train/street noises after reading other review on here. We were on 4th floor at the back and it was quiet. The bedroom was well furnished, comfortable bed, complimentary bottled water, clean & a good size. The shower room was tiny, hardly room to turn around reminded us of a small boat cabin washroom! But it was clean, good quality fittings & functional.
Overall value for money and within easy reach of anywhere you want to be in London either walking down to Oxford Street or via the tube station.

Room Tip: Ask for what you want when booking eg if you want a bath vs small shower room or if you want quiet a...

The hotel is VERY near Warren Street (very convenient). My room was at the corner and the windows let in a fair amount of traffic noise. The room was a bit bizarre, you have to go up and down steps (even in the room) so not great if mobility is a problem.

The room was a good temperature (it was very cold outside).

Didn't eat or drink in hotel but the room was a good size.

Got a cheap room off late rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room and a room without steps in it.

As in many European hotels, the rooms might seem small by US standards, but don't let that worry you. They are clean and service is excellent. In winter, bring something warm to sleep in as the heat is spotty.

The hotel does have a bar and restaurant, but neither get much traffic (could be the high prices). The breakfast buffet is above average, but never changes, so for a long stay you might get a little bored.

Best of all is the location. You are right on Tottenham Court Road with many attractions in walking distance. There is a bus stop right in front and the Warren Street Tube is only steps away. It's a good safe area (still keep your wits about you). Some extra tips, there is a 24-hour Tesco a few doors down and the noodle shop next door serves up tasty lunch and dinner that doesn't hurt the wallet.

For the money I paid to stay in a deluxe room for one night, I was obviously expecting an excellent room. However, the room we got was below average. It had dust everywhere and every time the guests upstairs flushed the toilet you could hear it, meaning a very annoying night/morning. We requested to move but the rooms they offered were worse than the first, either too cold, loud ventilation or stains on the sofa. Some of the hotel staff are incompetent and rude too. I will not stay in this hotel again, waste of money. The hotel staff did not even compensate us for our terrible stay, even though they said they 'may' offer complimentary breakfast, but they failed to get back to us on this. I would avoid staying at this hotel and go for Hilton/doubletree instead!

A nice enough hotel but..... We were in a std double room which was on the small side. The dispensers in the bathroom were fixed on upside down so they kept falling off the wall. There was only one cup and one glass and little milk or tea. We informed reception on the way out to dinner and they said it would be sorted straight away. We got back and still one cup one glass etc. Breakfast was stone cold on both days. No tea spoons on the first day. No knives on the second when guests were queuing back to the reception all the time we were in there. They didn't seem to have enough staff to clear tables and replenish crockery.
The staff were very friendly and obliging but looked rushed off their feet.
