“Awful stay”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Arrived for a 3 night stay, room was a good size, very clean and had everything we needed, staff were friendly and location was excellent, 10 minute walk to tube. However I went to take a shower that night to find the temperature knob didnt work and the shower was stuck at scalding hot. Phoned down to ask for it to be fixed and we were told someone would come to fix it within the next half hour but they would phone back. Waited almost a hour until they phoned back and we were told we would have to wait until the next day before someone could fix it. They let us use another room to shower in. Came back the next day assuming it would be fixed, it wasnt and the hotel was fully booked for that night so we gave up and just had to have very quick showers. Apart from that issue it was a good hotel.

Super great location! Just 3 blocks from the tube, supermarket, restaurants, banks and numerous coffe shops (including Starbucks and cafe Nero).
Very basic breakfast but adequate! Small rooms but not uncomfortably small.
Very good price for the things it has to offer!

i visited London on a Saturday night. We live in Sussex and decided to spend the night in an area of the Capital we both loved. Beautiful building, decent rooms (on the small side and with the heating on full blast), clean.
Maybe lacking a friendly touch from the staff who all seemed to be busy enough not to bother making the extra effort. Fine overall.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. Our room (room 101) was small but we had everything we needed and for the amount of time we spent in the hotel it was absolutely perfect! There is so much to do in London we literally just went to our room to sleep! The room was basic, had all the usual items such as kettle with tea and coffee, hair dryer, TV and also had a safe. The room was cleaned every day to a good standard.

The hotel is located on a lovely street about 5 minutes walk from Gloucester Station but we found it quicker to take a shortcut through the private driveway that runs though the millenium hotel. We had to leave the key with reception when going out but this was fine as there was someone on reception 24 hours a day. The reception staff were friendly and polite, had no problems with them.

The hotel was quiet during the night, no noise from the street outside so it's a great spot if you enjoy your sleep. Breakfast was included in our rate, it was a buffet style with bread, cereal, yoghurt, tea, coffee and juices. It was perfect to grab something quickly before heading out for the day!

Overall we were extremely happy with our choice, we got the 3 nights for £190 (roughly €240) with laterooms.com. Excellent value for a great location in London. Would definitely recommend.

Having never stayed at this hotel before I was pleasantly surprised, considering the great location and price. My room 215 was at the back of the hotel overlooking a quiet mews, and was a double with small bathroom.

The room was very basic in decor but very clean, comfortable and very warm. I did try to connect to the internet in my room but there was no signal. The reception area had a good signal though and the leather couches were comfortable. I found the staff to be most friendly and polite. I use the word "politely" deliberately as I personally witnessed a very rude woman complaining about something that had nothing to do with the hotel or staff.

The breakfast selection wasn't to my personal choice, but not that it was bad.At the end of Harrington Gardens on the main road, there are plenty of nice cafes and take aways to obtain cooked breakfasts or croissants etc.

The tube station nearby is great, especially for the Piccadilly line. Museums like the V&A , Science Museum and Natural History are also in good walking distance. Also of interest nearby is Bolton Gardens, where a plaque commemorates where Beatrix Potter used to live.

Will certainly return again

Reception people have absolutly no idea what service means and some people are directly rude. Would never stay there again neither recomend it to anybody.
Rooms are very small and interior poor, but okay for the price.
Breakfast very basic - only toast, cornflakes and some fruits.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 night and thought the hotel was perfect for our needs. There are resturants, a grocery store and public transportation only a few blocks away. The hotel is also on a residental street, so very quiet. The breakfast was basic, but nice that it was included in our stay (a cup of coffee and some fruit/cereal/toast was enough fuel to get going in the morning). It also was a pretty short cab ride away from Buckingham Palace and other major London attractions.
