“Pretty Good”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

Pretty decent hotel. Good location. Had no major issues. We paid extra for an executive room but not sure what was exactly executive about it and it was £25 for one double and one single vodka and lemonade !

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay.

The executive rooms have a supplement of £30. The difference between a superior and an executive is that the room itself is larger and more spacious. The complimentary mini bar includes all of the drinks and snacks from the superior room but is also upgraded with 2 serving size bottles of wine which is restocked daily. You also have movies included in this room which would be charged in a superior room.

A single vodka with lemonade costs £5 in our bar which is very competitive for London prices. Of course if you go for more premium vodkas then the price would increase but this would only be used if specifically asked for.

We hope to welcome you again in the future.

Kind Regards,

Brooke

Stayed 2 nights at the Indigo Kensington. Very close to the Earls Court tube (2 minutes walking) station and the Earls Court exhibition center (I came for an exhibition so it was best). Very quick check-in, great atmosphere at the lobby (lounge music at the evening and smooth jazz in the morning). Rooms are very well equipped and minibar is free! Breakfast was also ok but not much varied. Quite far from center so I will recommend for people who are looking for an hotel in this area.

My main reason for choosing this hotel was to attend an exhibition at Earls Court which is not one of the most prestigious parts of London. In an area best known for budget hotels The Indigo by far exceeded my expectations. Very close to the tube and exhibition hall ticked the main boxes but everything else was so good about the hotel I will stay here again even if Earls Court was not my reason for needing a really pleasant hotel in central London.
Boutique style with plenty of character, friendly staff and state-of-the-art accommodations. At check in I was a little concerned to be told my room was "down one floor" i.e. minus 1 on the lift button. I needn't have been concerned as my room, whilst not with any view of note (typical of many city centre properties) was spacious, beautifully appointed, well lit, airy and spotlessly clean.
I was room only and used to the rip off pricing any London hotels have for breakfast. Not the case here as one could order food by item (from around £5), enjoy a wide selection of quality teas and coffees (around £3) or go the whole thing and pay £20 and get everything you want. I included the English Breakfast which was wonderful.
London hotels are very expensive and, until now, I would not give 5 stars for value because of that. In this instance however I cannot award The Indigo any less than full marks all round!

Room Tip: A basement room initially sounded a poor option but it was possibly the quietest room I've ever...

Spent 2 nights here. 2 minutes walk away from the tube. Staff at breakfast where all very professional and helpful food was great good selection on the cold buffet. Room was very nice with a brilliant bathroom. Only draw back was the toilet seat wasn't fixed in properly but that was a major problem. Would return here if back in London.

I stayed for one Saturday night just for some chill out time after meeting friends for dinner.
The room was so nice and different, with brightly coloured bedding and wardrobes and lighting in the bathroom. I LOVED the giant high bed and complimentary soft drinks and snacks. But the best thing of all...the rainforest shower! It is so so amazing, could have stayed in there all day!

Location is great, just off earls court rd. I spent the afternoon walking round Chelsea with my sister and went past all the spots we wanted to see...High St Kensington, King Road, Sloane Square etc.

I had one small issue when returning from dinner on sat eve...There was a live band playing, who were very good..however I was ready to sleep at 22:30 and the band were still going strong and I could hear quite a lot of noise in my room, no4. I called reception who said very sorry, they would be finished up by 23:30 which was ok i guess. But then in the morning i had another call from front desk to offer their apologies again for the noise coming into the room, and to give me a complimentary breakfast! how nice! i took the room service option and had a lovely leisurely breakfast in my room!

Highly recommend this hotel, great location, beautiful decor and fabulous little extras make for an amazing stay

Booked this hotel as had had great experience at the Edinburgh hotel. Quick check in at 2pm, clean and tidy room (104), mini bar stocked with complimentary bits and pieces.

We woke in the night sweating despite the fact we were sure we turned the heating off!

Only complaint is that the door to the bathroom did not open very wide due to a wall and we kept bumping our hips on the door handle!

Speaking of bathroom, fantastic shower, lovely and hot, with plenty of towels.

Would return and would recommend this chain.

I chose this hotel as it is just a two-minute walk to the Earl's Court tube station, and it was easy to get to from the airport, and it also had a high rating. I would give it a high rating too as the price was reasonable for London standards and for the quality of the room and service. The only problem I encountered was that there was no internet service most of the the three nights I was there, and once fixed it was very slow (400kps), which nowadays is really substandard. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, and the free mini-bar in the room was well appreciated although didn't make full use of it. I would definitely come and stay here again, and hope the internet service improves.
