“Good if the price is right”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Booked as a late deal of Easter for 80 pounds for a double room with breakfast for the night. Good location near to Earls court tube, small size double as expected for a three star in London in a nice area. Room clean enough with shower but a bit worn, excellent reception staff allowed an early check in (thank you to Anna), as mentioned in other reviews the floor boards do squeak from above and walls are thin but my sleep was not disturbed and I am very sensitive to noise. If I could get this price again I would definitely return but would not pay more. Continental breakfast was fine (not enough plates so had to use bowls). In summary an average hotel that was good value for money

Room Tip: Top floor would minimise noise

I've stayed at this hotel many times (10-15) over the past few months.

The staff are generally very friendly and helpful, although occasionally a little frosty.

The hotel has a warm welcoming atmosphere and the rooms are clean although a little dated, especially some of the bathrooms.

Almost all rooms I've stayed in have creaky floorboards except the lower-ground floor rooms - but these can be noisy due to early morning laundry delivery/collection and the heating boiler.

The hotel sometimes offers great value online deals which make it an affordable option (for me) but at other times even the cost of a single room is way too expensive for my modest budget.

The breakfast is generally good although the tables are far too close together.

This is my preferred choice of hotel whenever I can afford to stay there.

Well located, clean hotel on a good tube line. Pleasant continental breakfast included.
Only problems I had was the small bathroom (and I mean small), cheap toilet roll too (standard price at this hotel on their tariff board was between £120 to £140 a night).
Creaky floor in the bedroom (which another poster has mentioned too).

I stayed there for a week on business and it was perfect for me. The rooms are small (not as small as other Best Western hotels i have stayed in) but that is expected for England. They are quite comfortable and the price was perfect for me. My only issue is that the floors creaked and that made some noise but outside of that is suited me fine. The lift is a tad small but I only used it on the days that I needed to move my suitcases. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great! Very close to Earl's Court tube station and a lot of restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the upper floors and facing the park if possible.

Great spot, close to Earls Court Station. plenty of local cafes. The hotel itself was ok, staff were lovely. Was recommended to us by travel agent and will probably stay again, purely for its access to the tube and Hyde Park.

My room was plently large enough (don't now what some of the previous reviewers expect!) imaculately clean, bed comfortable. As a lone female, on this trip, it was extra reassuring to have a chain as well as a lock on the door. I was on the 4th floor looking over the gardens. lift not too small worked well

Staff very pleasent to. I thought it was excellent value for London.

Only downside is the floorboards do creak very loudly as it is an older building , could keep some people awake.

I didn't eat in the hotel as I usually don't, I prefer to experience the atmosphere of London. Earls Court road just around the corner has lots of places to eat from Chinese to McDonalds!

I chose the hotel after reading other reviews, the location as it was handy for the tube and the discounted price (£60). I felt the single room was compact but had all I needed. The en-suite bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers both in the evening and morning. Nice crisp clean sheets and no stale or musty smells found anywhere in the hotel. I slept soundly and did not hear the near by underground trains that other reviews had noted. The hotel is in a quite street and from my room I had a view of the gardens. The room was nice and warm but I was able to get fresh air by opening the window. The breakfast was served quickly after ordering and there was plenty of variety. I found all the staff to be helpful and pleasant. I would stay here again as I felt safe as a single female traveler.
