First, the accomondations are just wondeful as are the staff. It's a hotel but also feels like a bed and breakfast - very quaint very English. You'll enjoy the sleep and just hanging around relaxing in some of the common areas. The location can't be beat. Harrods is a short walk away as is Kensington station. You can walk to Hyde park (or take the bus), the palace. Havey Nichols is also a short walk where you can enjoy some night life. I have been to The Egerton House about a half dozen times over the past 10 years. It's my place to stay when in London. It's just off a main street (Bromptom Road) but it's in a residential neighborhood - you'll see the kids going off to school in the morning.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms in front provide a wonderful view of the egerton neighborhood

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review on the site following your stay with us in June last year and how lovely that you would still remember us one year on. Thank you also for returning to stay with us so many times. It is always a pleasure to welcome you to our beautiful property and I do hope you consider it your home away from home. We are indeed very centrally located close to Harrods and Harvey Nichols and of course some wonderful museums. We also have some excellent restaurants in the vicinity. As we are a hotel in a very residential area you will indeed see the kids going off to school. Thank you once again and we look forward to welcoming you back on a future visit.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance at any time.

Warm regards,

Michelle Devlin

We stayed at Egerton (my husband, myself and our 14 year old daughter) over Spring Break in the beginning of April for 3 nights and I regret not writing this review when our experience was fresh, but I want to say that I chose Egerton due to its reviews and service upon contacting them. I wish I remembered all names, but Jacques was fabulous. The hotel is cozy and quaint. The location is wonderful, very close to Harrods for those who love shopping. We had adjoining rooms with our teen daughter and it was perfect. The rooms are on the small side but that didn't take away from the ultimate experience of being treated like royalty. The experience of dining there was the ultimate in that the people truly cared and took pride in their service. Anything we needed, we got and the people actually cared! What a different concept. In this day and age it was wonderful to stay at such a classy establishment which is first rate in every single way. And I don't say that often. I felt like this was my luxury home away from hom - I can't wait to return to Egerton and London!

If you're looking for complete luxury in a beautiful period building which is small and intimate, yet sophisticated look no further. Quality and taste in spades - genuine, helpful staff - will revisit and soon!

Room Tip: Queen room was gorgeous - compact but luxury and attention to detail beats space in my book!

My wife and I stayed at the Egerton House Hotel for two nights as part of a weekend in London and boy what a fabulous gem of a hotel it is. The room was immaculate all be it a bit on the small side but the location and service provided more than compensated for this. Do try the wicked Martinis provided by the unforgettable barman Antonio who apparently has made these for a host of famous celebrities. A great hotel ideally located for seeing the many sights in London, highly recommended.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post you lovely feedback and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay, had a wonderful time and thought that the hotel was fabulous. It is indeed a little gem and we are very proud of it. The rooms are all very individual and vary in size as it is a town house. Antonio is a legend and his reputation precedes him. He does make a killer martini and is very proud of them. People come from far and wide to try them. We are very centrally located to shops, museums, great restaurants and in close proximity to the West End yet located in a quiet residential area so we have the best of both.
We do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back on a future visit to London and please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Staff second to none, nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, well served and nothing left out. Rooms wonderful, relaxing and immaculate (have stayed in three different rooms - each with a theme and decor of their own). Wouldn't stay anywhere else in London. Evenings in the lounge are relaxing and friendly with close attention from Antonio from behind the bar (who remembers your favourite drink) and snacks fresh from the kitchen - just like a country house. Pots of tea and fresh cakes and home-made biscuits whenever you want during the day. Can't recommend it enough for the discerning traveller who likes the small hotel but requires attention to detail and service to match - this is the hotel for you. Can't wait to go back !

Room Tip: Any room is a delight. If you have specific requirements, discuss with staff and they will assist...

I stayed here with my adult daughter at the end of April for seven days. Although our room was a little small it was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was luxurious. The staff are excellent. They helped us with reservations and transportation and were always helpful but not intrusive. The location in Knightsbridge is very close to museums, shopping, restaurants and transportation. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

What a fabulous hotel! We stayed for 1 night on the 7th of May for our 30th Anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted like friends, we were taken for a complimentary glass of champagne in their cosy, charming bar/ comfy tea room. It was such a great start. Then we were told they had upgraded our room to a suite! When we arrived back in the evening after a lovely dinner, we were so delighted to find a big celebration cream and strawberry cake in our room with an Anniversary card.
Even without all that, the staff here are truly wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. They are on hand all the time without being imposing. The room was impecable. We loved the Art, the furniture and even the music. We really did not want to come home. We have stayed at many hotels including the Ritz but this was the best by far. We are going back for Christmas.
