We spent this weekend at The Cavendish and our expectations were met. Great room and facilities, great location and good service. Price is what you would expect for that area in London, so not cheap. If you are not on a budget is definitely a good option. Nice shops, restaurants and night clubs are within walking distance.

Superb location. Comfortable, quiet room. Professional staff. Fine breakfast, well served. Reasonable value for London.

Only complaints? A 20th century wi-fi policy, and the need to leave a key in a power slot in order to have the heat or a/c [and lights and device chargers] powered-on while the guest is out of the room...

Room Tip: Avoid the south-end rooms [to avoid noise from a neighbouring pub], or rooms next to the elevator...

Dear StillTheOldie,

Stayed here for just 1 night as we needed to be in London for a flight the following afternoon. Check in was quick. Our room was on the 14th floor with views out towards The Eye & The Shard. We've stayed at this hotel on several previous occasions mainly because we like the location. The rooms are fairly small which was a slight problem as we had 2 large suitcases with us. Breakfast the following day was excellent. Huge variety on offer - the eggs Benedict were great.
Our only problem was that my husband cut his head on one of the rails in the shower. He bent down to pick up the shampoo, hit his head on the grab rail & cut it.

Dear CumbrianGlobetrotter,

Thank you very much for your great review. I am sorry to hear that your husband cut his head and hope that he is fine. I know that our Duty Manager did do some first aid and dress the wound. Nitin our Head Chef will be delighted with your comments about breakfast and we will be sure to pass on your comments to the whole kitchen team.

We hope that we can welcome you back on your next visit to London.

Good: Location is absolutely perfect, it is extremely clean and bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced in hotels. The staff is gentle and friendly.
Bad: Small rooms (but this is something you can expect in such a big city) , bad quality double glassed windows hence you can hear all road noise, bad sound insulation between rooms ( we were moved room for a night as our neighbors were having an intimate party ...)
I would probably not go back because of the noise, but I can't say this is a bad hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing Jermyn or Duke street.

We have just returned from a 3 day stay at The Cavendish. From beginning to end the excellent staff did all they could to make our stay a memorable one. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, on arrival in the room we found a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates and a card waiting for us, what a lovely surprise! The room was on the 14th floor of the hotel ( as requested) and offered spectacular views of central London including the Eye, the Shard and Big Ben......very impressive! The bed was extremely comfortable and your every need catered for.

We had two pre-theatre meals in the Petrichor restaurant which were absolutely delicious, the service was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious too!

Thank you so much to all the Staff at The Cavendish who helped to make our stay so special. We certainly hope to return again in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms on upper floors have spectacular views!

Standard room is without freezer, 3 calls to reception are without answering, reparation of the room needed. Room very small. Hotel overpriced! I'm not choose this hotel for one more time. One thing is positive - location!

I stayed at the Cavendish Hotel last week while attending the Hotel How in London.
The location is perfect with great clothing shops and within walking distance of Piccadilly Circus.
On arrival the reception team were amazing with and friendly attitude not often seen in London Hotels.

Mo the concierge got us booked into Maze Grill at late notice.

Breakfast was first class.

We left wanting to return soon.

Thx
