“Weekend break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

My cousin and I stayed at the Cavendish for three nights from 8th June. The hotel is ideally situated being within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Leicester Square and Oxford Street. Very pleasant staff. Very good choice in the buffet breakfast and we also enjoyed a lovely pre-theatre meal in the hotel as well. A great location for a London Weekend Break!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 17 May in an executive room. Asked for a room with a view but had office windows in front of us but could see London Eye ...just! Breakfast choice was excellent as were the staff on duty...table cleared constantly. The early hours of Sunday morning were constantly disturbed by shouting and police sirens...as we discovered next morning the noise was from a nightclub close by. Good area to walk around as near parks.

The first time we stayed at The Cavendish was the week prior to the Olympic Games in 2012, having chosen the hotel for its location. Our booking was made via Superbreak and when we chose the hotel, the booking clerk at Superbreak said that it came highly recommended to them. From the moment our taxi pulled up outside to the moment we left after a 3 night stay, our experience of the hotel and its staff was faultless. We recommended The Cavendish to friends, who had a similar experience.
We made a return trip in March of this year, as part of our celebrations of my husbands birthday. We wondered if the hotel would live up to our previous experience, guess what? it did. The staff are highly trained, friendly and look after the guests with the utmost care. The rooms are faultless, the breakfasts were all you could require and more. We dined in the bar area on two nights, after seeing shows, and even at that late hour, the food and service were excellent.

Having been regular visitors to London and having stayed in most of the 4star hotels, we will not be looking for anywhere else to stay on our future trips.

Congratulations to the staff and management on the running of the hotel,

Arrived early in the morning and our room wasnt ready. However the receptionist was very nice and said a room was vacant but not clean and she would request the house keeping to have it cleaned soon. Well in 45 mins our room was ready. Very nice, clean, modern hotel..Was very impressed!! Room was decent size and everything was perfect.
Location is good ,however eating around thet area is too expensive..All in all a great stay.

We have stayed at this very central hotel on numerous occasions, we always receive a warm and friendly welcome, the rooms are very clean and spacious and the hotel is ideally located for the West End of London. On this occasion we stayed at the Cavendish for my birthday and the hotel staff kindly left a birthday cake and card in my room!! Yummy!! We will certainly be visiting again very soon....

First off, the location is wonderful, just a short walk from Green Park tube stop and Picadilly Circus. We had a twin superior room. For Americans, this is a standard size room, but for London standards it is actually quite roomy. The twin beds were put up against each other, looking like one bed, which wasn't really a problem for us. The beds were very comfortable. Apparently there is free Wi-Fi in the lobby, and somehow were able to get it to work in the room as well. We were on the 7th floor and had no noise. Jermyn street seems to be fairly quiet. I would certainly stay at the Cavendish again due to the location and the nice rooms. I think most people would enjoy the Cavendish. However, those that are looking for a super posh, boutique hotel with a high level of personalized service might want to consider elsewhere...but you will definitely be paying more for it.

Thank you very much for your great review. Thank you for your great comments about our location, as we are very lucky as we are within walking distance to most of London's attractions but as you mentioned Jermyn street is nice and quite for a good rest.

This gem of a hotel is brilliantly located. Our expectations were exceeded Superb breakfast with and extensive choice of quality local/artisan ingredients which was much better than breakfast at 5* hotel of previous night. All rooms very inviting, clean and every single member of staff was so helpful and professional. They seem to work well together as a team. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and even the smallest query was dealt with in very timely way.
A Happy, well run ship! reluctant to leave.................
