We stayed at this hotel between Christmas ANC new year for a special occasion and stayed in a superior room. As we entered the hotel the reception was to an excellent standard and looked posh and we were very warmly greeted by the concierge. As we got to our room it was very well decorated however to say we had booked a superior room it was very small, much smaller than that of a typical premier inn type room. However the bathroom was very modern yet elegant and I did like the Bose docking station in the room got my iPhone. There was also umbrellas available for guests to use should the weather be poor!
We chose thus hotel as it was central to where we wanted to be and it so was-literally a 20 second walk to Piccadilly and very close to regent street. The service at the hotel was excellent - however we ordered room service one night and when we came to check out we found that they had charged us over double to what the price should have been-its s good job we queried it as they wouldn't have said anything.
The breakfast at the hotel us the best I've ever had-buffet style hot and cold but you could also order off the menu if you wished. Fresh salmon, cheeses, hams, bacon, sausages, pastries -you NAND if they had it.
We stayed here three nights and had a lovely stay-the bar looked nice although we didn't use it as we were too busy seeing London! Looking back it was quite pricey for what it actually was but it was nice for a special occasion. Very clean, modern, luxurious yet very small. Staff and concierge were very helpful and friendly.

Dear Jane314,

Thank you very much for your feedback.
And apologies about the error on your bill for the roomservice.
Would you be so kind to send the details of your stay to roy.sommer@thecavendishlondon.com and i can look into this and find out what happened.
I am glad you liked the look of our lobby and bar , we will be doing some small refurbishment to these areas this year to ensure we keep improving where we can.
Our breakfast is raved about by many and it is what sets you up for the day and considered the most important meal of the day. We therefore want to make sure that there is plenty of choice for whatever you may desire that morning.
All in all I am very happy that we made this special occassion worthwhile for you and hope to welcome you back soon

Flying in from America, Agnieska knew we were landing at 7:15am. Got to the hotel before 9am to a waiting room! The room was large and modern with clean crisp design. Super chic...stayed in room #1410. The staff was always sweet, obliging and rather eager to make sure whatever we needed was at their fingertips. I would MOST DEFINITELY stay here again. The rate was rather reasonable and the area is rather beautiful! We got off the tube at the Green Park station. Walked two blocks to our hotel. 2-3 blocks in the other direction is the Piccadilly Circus stop on the tube. This hotel is extremely conveniently located with amazing restaurants and shops all around it! WE LOVED IT! Thank you to the staff who made our first trip to London a rather remarkable and memorable one!!!!

Room Tip: there was no fitness center at the hotel (I wasn't planning on using it anyway!!!!) BUT they hav...

Dear Kimberley,

Allow me to thank you for posting such a great review on Trip advisor.
And it is great to find out that we had your room ready and waiting for you at 9am.
Agnieszka is such a great asset to The Cavendish and deservedly won Employee of the Year for 2012. The room you stayed in was a Executive room and they are a very good size and refurbished not that long ago. Plus that some of the views you get are stunning.
It is great that we have been able to contribute to making your first trip to London so memorable and we hope there will be a lot more trips to London to follow.
We do have an agreement with a local fitness centre and our reception or concierge team will be more than help you assist you on explaining where it is and to give you a 50% discount

Every time I've stayed here it's lived up to expectations. Service, standards and breakfast are all top class, and I fancy stealing a bed from them.

As near enough every review will tell you, the location is superb, Bond St, Oxford St, Regent St, Leicester/Trafalgar Sq, Covent Garden etc. etc. all easily walkable.

If you see a special offer around the time you need, go for it!

Room Tip: Most standard rooms are fairly small, fine unless you're expecting otherwise.

Mum & I stayed at this hotel for a two day shopping trip...oh boy did we shop! This hotel is in a perfect central position. It literally sits behind Fortnum & Mason.

We were welcomed at reception by Jodie who was very friendly & helpful. She obviously does an excellent job at multi tasking as she was serving our breakfast on the last day & was equally as competant at this task, well done her, she deserves to do well!

Our bedroom was very comfortable, quite contempory in decor which is quite typical of most hotels these days. The bedding was devine & made for a good nights sleep.

The Duchy of Cornwall shortbreads went down well with a cuppa when we returned weary after a full day shopping.

Breakfast was excellent & served just about everything you could possibly want. If this wasn't the case then you would be hard to please. It certainly set us up for most of the day. Fab homemade marmalade. We would definitely return but special offers make it even more enjoyable!

Dear SusieBath,

Thank you ever so much for your great Review.
We are thrilled that you and your mum had such a great stay.
Jodie is a little gem who always puts the interests of our guests first, that week she wanted to experience a different department to improve her knowledge and as you mentioned did ever so well. I have forwarded your review to Jodie for her to read and I am sure she will be delighted with your comments.
Our marmalade is becoming quite the hit, which has made us decide that it would be a nice idea for our guests to be able to take some home on their visit. You can email me direct for more details( roy.sommer@thecavendishlondon.com)

Booked several months in advance for a theatre break. About 2 weeks before we tweeted the Cavendish and explained it was our 30th birthday. They sent a lovely reply and promised a few surprises.

Check in was lovely with a lady from New Zealand who was very personable and interested in our stay. We were upgraded to a higher class of room, had a sponge cake sent up and a bottle of champagne!

The room had amazing views. We could see Big Ben, the Eye and several other landmarks. It wasn't huge but given its London and we were there to explore it was perfectly fine. During our stay the hotel tweeted us to wish us well which was great. They do quite a lot of special deals via social media so check it out.

The bathroom smelt faintly of drains for a short part our stay but not enough to mention to staff late at night. When I explained at checkout that I thought they should know they thanked us profusely, apologised and went to organise an engineer which was nice to see as some hotels just give a stock answer and do nothing.

Breakfast was lovely and our room service was excellent. Fab location with no city noise in the bedrooms.

Dear Stepaway,

Happy belated 30th Birthday and i am glad we were able to make it a bit more special for you.
The lady from New Zealand you describes is Deina who has been with us only a few months and in this period has proved to have the ture Cavendish spirit.
Would you mind telling me which room you were staying in? This way i can follow up on the faint drainage smell and make sure this has been resolved. My contact details are roy.sommer@thecavendishlondon.com.

We hope to see you again soon

Sales, restaurant and theatre weekend for us at The Cavendish! The hotel was perfect for this type of visit to London. Perfect location, room bit small but ok for the time we spent in it but great view across the City and to be fair well appointed. Good concierge service and all staff polite and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

Dear Mabo333,

Our concierge team will be very happy to get a mention as sometimes they are overlooked so thank you for that.
As you said our location is perfect for guests wanting to do some shopping or to watch a how as most Theatres are within walking distance. Also there are so many restaurants in Central London that its a certainty you will find somewhere nice to go or ask concierge to make a recommendation.

We look forward welcoming you back soon

Nice clean fairly modern hotel in a fantastic location. This was our second time staying here and would return again. Walking distance to Bond St, Oxford St, Leicester Sq, Regent St, Coventry Garden etc. Rooms are a bit small but more than adequate unless you are planning to spend a lot of time there. We travelled with a baby and found the cot was set up and waiting for us in the room. Baby towel and bib were also provided which is unusual and a nice touch. Location was important for us as we didn't want to mess around with a buggy on the tube, this was perfect, we didn't get a tube or taxi at any point during our stay as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go without any problem. recommended for anybody who wants a relatively reasonably priced hotel in the heart of London shopping and theatre district.
