My friend and I stayed here for her birthday. It was my first time in London. The location of the hotel is excellent, because all the clubs, restaurants, museums and shopping are in walking distance. The room had great view what even included London-eye. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast in hotel was great! Everything is simple, nice and clean. Very satisfying.

Situated in the opulent area of Mayfair, The Cavendish is a very warm & friendly hotel in a central part of the city right across the road from Fortnum & Mason. 10 minutes stroll takes you into Piccadilly & Leicester Square or alternatively into the bustling shopping areas of Regent Street & Oxford Street. Ideally situated for the West End with plenty of pubs & restaurants along the way. The hotel itself is very clean and smart with amazing views of London (depending on the room). We were in room 1112 which overlooked such sights as The Pineapple, London Eye, Big Ben, The Shard & St Paul's Cathedral. Breakfast is plentiful with choices to suit all tastes. This is our second stay at The Cavendish, but far from the last. High standards have been maintained which erode any disappointment. Well done to all the Staff.

Room Tip: Higher floors obviously have the better view.

Dear JTW202,

Thank you very much for praising our staff in such a fashion. It is because of them that The Cavendish is such a great place to stay. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and the views from your room. The rooms on the 8th floor and above have some amazing views over the London skyline. As you mentioned our location allows for our guests to walk to most of the attractions the centre of London has to offer.
Our Breakfast is an area for which we always get a lot of praise and we keep looking at ways on how to make it better. Even last week we made some minor improvements to ensure our guests get the best.
We look forward seeing you back soon

No hesitation in recommending a stay at this well located central London hotel. Friendly, helpful staff from reception through to restaurant. Well appointed reception, lounge and restaurant areas. Well appointed, clean and well serviced room, with great view of London Eye. Great breakfast menu, wide selection of quality fruit, cereals, cooked food etc. Will return on some future visit to the capital. Well done, the Cavendish.

My husband and I (age 32 and 34) stayed here for two nights in August 2012. Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Our room was perfect and had excellent views of London including the London Eye. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast excellent. We will not stay anywhere else in London now.

Room Tip: Ask for views of the London Eye - beautiful in the evening

Dear Steffieg6,

What great comments, thank you very much.
It is great to hear that eventhough you stayed in August you still have fond memories now of your stay with us. Thats what we try to achieve in our day to day running of the hotel. We try to be the best 4 star hotel in London with special people creating special experiences and your case it seems we succeeded.
Some of the views from our high floor rooms( 8th floor and above) have some great views especially as London lights up at night. We have been spending a lot of time and effort recently to make our breakfast even better than it already was, so hopefully we can welcome you back soon and you can see for yourself.

We had an executive king room, it was great. A fantastic bed, great bathroom and living room. Very comfortable room. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Great location, everything was within walking distance, a lot of great restaurants and shops in the area. The concierge arranged our airport transfers and answered all our questions.

Dear MarkB,

Hope you had a good journey back to Canada.
May i thank you for posting a review about The Cavendish London on this site, it is much appreciated.
It is great to hear such positive things about your stay and our executive king rooms are very nice indeed. Our beds have proven to be one of the best investments we have ever made as many of our guests have contacted us to ask us where we get our beds from as they find them so comfortable. There are a lot of people who sleep poorly when they are away from home so we know the importance of having a great bed. Richard our Head Concierge thanks you for your nice comments and he was pleased that he was able to assist you with transfers.

My Husband and I stayed at the Cavendish for 3 night in September 2012. The building itself doesn't look great on the outside but it is extremely stylish on the inside.
Our Room was spotless and we had amazing views of Big Ben, The London Eye, and could see as far as Canary Wharf.
The Location was great we were in walking distance of Oxford Street Piccadilly Circus & Leicester Sq and also a 10 min walk from Buckingham Palace.
Breakfast was really good with the usual buffet but you go also order from a menu at no extra charge.
We did have a few drinks in the bar which was a wee but expensive but you are in Mayfair after all!
The only thing it really lacks is a gym and a pool but I would definately go back to the Cavendish.

Room Tip: We were on the 8th floor at the far end of the corridor and had amazing views over London.

Dear Xsarasilver,

Thank you for staying with us during your recent visit to London.
We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and rest assured i will share your comments with our staff. Our rooms which are located on the higher floors do have some amazing views over the London skyline and are worth booking for New Years eve if you want to watch the fire work from the comfort of your room. Our location has been raved about by many people before and we are lucky to be where we are.
Although we do not have a gym, we do have an agreement with a gym in our neighbourhood which our guests can use for a reduced rate.
Sure hope we can welcome you back soon

We stayed three nights , Friday- Sunday .
This was our third stay so it's difficult to add any thing new to our previous reviews , just that the London Cavendish continues to be a fantastic hotel.
The front desk team, concierge, restaurant staff, bedroom cleaning staff, everyone was so obliging .
As ever, the bed was so comfortable, with crisp linens. The bathroom spacious with lovely large towels and the Queen Superior room very comfortable.
The location is perfect with Green Park and Piccadilly a short stroll away.
As London hotel prices creep up the £ scale, look for a deal including breakfast .
Our first choice for London.

Room Tip: Standard rooms, though small are comfortable. Queen Superiors are much larger and have a bath and wi...
