I've been in this hotel with three friends for about six night to visit the City and celebrate my birthday. We booked a room for four people. To be honest the only advantage of this hotel is the position near bayswater and queensway tube stations linked with the green circle and red line and it's located in an area full of shops, restaurant and tourist facilities(taxi, change currency, souvenirs). The room was very tiny for 4 adult with 4 big luggage (we just left them on the floor at the foot of the bed), small bathroom, poor and old furniture, old-fashioned carpet and very little choice for the breakfast. Anyway we spent very little time in hotel just for sleep, so if it's just for few days it's ok because at least the price is very cheap and for an expensive city like London it's good!

Took a room in this hotel after our original choice through booking.com was overbooked, and this is the replacement they offered. We saw the reviews were not great, but we figured it should be fine as we're not generally too picky.

As expected, when we got there we were quite under-whelmed, but the people at the reception were nice. During the first night however we got a nasty surprise from being woken up by bug bites and discovering the bed was crawling with bugs. We killed a few, took pictures and went down to reception in the middle of the night to see what could be done. We had already paid for 8 nights, quite a steep price, and it was during the Olympics so we didn't want to have to go around London looking for new accommodation, although the thought has crossed our minds.. We were given a temporary room to sleep the rest of the night - as if we could from all the bites and itching and paranoid thoughts of bugs crawling in the bed. The next morning we went to breakfast (more on this further down) and by the time we went to reception to see what is the solution for our, or rather their, problem, we found they had already turned the room upside down, with our stuff still laid on the floor - so bugs could have gotten into the bags and clothes and everywhere, because the room was so tiny and crowded. It was very infuriating, and we asked to have our clothes and bags treated by the company that was called to do the room, but they refused. I'm still afraid of what we brought home from the trip.

The room we got was the same tiny tiny size, equally crowded but luckily without any bugs. However it was hard to sleep in any bed after that first night without checking many times for bugs, and waking up at every sensation. The bites itched for days afterwards too, so that was bad as well.

We had friends join us 3 days into the trip, and the room they got also had bed bugs. Lucky we checked the bed! So we asked for a different room for them too, and the second one was clear.

All the four rooms were tiny and crowded, and with old furniture and dirty carpets. Because we had the unfortunate opportunity to check the beds in much detail we found them to be really really dirty under the clean sheets - both the mattress and the mattress cover were horrible.

The breakfast was continental only - they had a small selection of cereal, coffee, toast, butter and jam, and boiled eggs. The orange juice was very very bad. The main problem with breakfast was however the space, or lack of it. Although we had to book the time slot (30minutes!), there were always too many people and too big queues, which meant lots of waiting. They were also quite slow to fill up the bread and coffee. The eggs they didn't even bother to refill. All the breakfast experience was not at all pleasant - too many loud people crowded in a small room with too many tables and not enough food.

Won't be going there again. I'd rather camp out in Hyde Park, it's much nicer.

Great location, horrible small rooms, poor breakfast, but all at a great price. Close to the underground station and retail store. Wi-Fi not available at rooms for free, though there's a computer you can use in the lobby. Smoking area is actually a table on the stree

Room Tip: ..private bathroom

Room Tip: 3 bed rooms are too small for 3 persons. Try to avoid it.

The hotel was very simple but overall ok. The room was terribly small, but was ok for sleeping in and rather quiet. We had a shared toilet in the hall, but it was kept tidy and was always available so that wasn't a problem. The breakfast was simple but good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was okay for staying a few days, but for stays up to a week I think it will feel very cramped. The location is very good, quiet and calm and just a few minutes off from Paddington, Queensway and Marble Arch station.

Room Tip: Some rooms are very, very small. Try to inquire beforehand if you would have a problem with that.

Had a really nice stay here for the night. It was quiet and comfortable, just what I needed after a long day grafting. Don't know about value as work paid... I had a small double room on the 3rd floor, lower rooms might be noisier
