Stayed for 3 nights at 240 GBP a night, delapidated, antiquated, horrible. A maze of little corridors, paint peeling everywhere, no investment apparent any time in the distant past, an experience I will not be repeating, avoid this place. Location is great but other than that a big thumbs down!
Worst place i have ever stayed in my life! Was supposed to be a romantic 40th birthday break for my husband. Worst mistake ever booking this,we got up after no sleep due to noisy lift going up and down outside our room, windows don't shut and let in noise and draughts, beds uncomfortable,rooms filthy squalid Whole place wants knocking down! Save your money.
People complain about this hotel, well... it's a budget hotel. Don't expect anything else than just a small room with a bed. The room was fairly clean the bed comfortable but small (only for 2, a 3 years old would not fit in with the parents). The breakfast is mainly some snacks with milk or juice. The scrumbled egg cost 2 pounds extra.
Location: very close to Marble Arch (at about 50m). You can find some nice restaurants in the neighborhood (check out the Italian few corners away but don't expect them have local beer).
Staff: well... not too friendly people. A woman close to her 60s has been hanging on phone for a half an hour before she finally turned to me. The man - also reaching for 60 - was much nicer though his English was barely understandable.

We paid a very expensive price in Australian dollar terms for a very shabby hotel. The internet had an....out of order.....sign on it for the whole of our stay. Gives an instant bad impression in my view! It needs a major overhaul or a price reduction would make this more appealing. Would I stay there again? No, no way!
Cleaning staff blatantly rummage through All of our luggage, not even attempting to be subtle. Along with money, they stole prescription medication, which it never occurred to us that it would be stolen straight out of our suitcase. This place is run-down and uncomfortable. Location is the only positive- by default!
filthy, old, and very rude staff, the floors in the halls rise and fall and are anything but flat, the lift, old,peeling paint, and cramped with only two people with two small carry on's. the ceiling fans, were covered in dust, so, turning them on would start an instant dust storm, the floors leaned so much, the tables were leaning, room had radiators, but knobs were taken off, making it impossible to change the temperature. also, the smell in the room was god awful, at 240.00 a night, it's the biggest waste of money in London.
Don't walk, run as fast as you can from this dump..
