I have stayed at the Falcon on several occasions. My most recent being the 8-14 of October, This small B&B is wonderfully located very close to Paddington Station on quiet Norfolk Square. Their rates are affordable and the service is excellent for a small B&B. Rooms are small but very comfortable and very clean. The staff are friendly as well as the owners. It is like a home away from home. The breakfast is also very nice. If you are planning on going to London and need an affordable place to stay this is it. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed three nights. The price was very reasonable for London, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were very good and it was a two block walk to Paddington station. The rooms are small, but adequate, and it is on a suprisingly quiet street. The only negative was that our room was on the fourth floor, which is five floors (77 steps) up a narrow staircase. I made the reservation through the web and so had no option but to accept that room as their system doesn't let you decide on line. We probably would have taken that room anyway, but the way to avoid this is to phone and determine what's available.

Room Tip: Phone hotel, don't use the internet.

A small hotel right in the heart of Paddington, 2 minutes walk to the underground. The room was clean and not too small. The receptionist was friendly, also you can check in at 1pm so you don't have to drag your suitcase around all day if you arrive in the morning. Breakfast was ample and the service was quick. The shower is better than i have at home and plenty of hot water, considering you are not far from Paddington Station, the noise is minimal. Lots of restaurants nearby. What i liked also about this hotel, is that you can come and go as you please. I would stay again with no hesitation.

Stayed here on my first trip to London with pre-teen in early September 2011. I loved the room, it had all we needed - TV, Wi-fi, clean accomodations, hot water kettle and a nice view. It had a homey feel. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the Paddington Tube station is 2 blocks away. A Big Bus tour stop is also 1 block away. Heathrow is 30 mins away if you opt for the Underground Connect, 15 mins for the Express, but they only depart at certain times whereas if you just hop on the next regular train, you'll be at Heathrow in 55 mins. The first night we had a double room with the bathroom just outside the room and down the steps, I didn't mind that because it wasn't a shared bathroom (sink and shower was in the room). All the other nights we were in a twin room which was bigger, and to my daughter's relief, had the entire bathroom in the room. The rooms are small, but keep in mind these are old houses (reminded me of original DC row homes) that have been modified to be hotel rooms. Breakfast was also good. If you're visiting the city and don't plan to spend much time in the room aside from sleeping or laying in bed, this works. I would def stay here again.

Great location, solid value for cost, but the biggest, best feature is the excellent well-trained staff who are ready to help with any and all problems travellers experience. Also, the location is in a quiet area--a rarity in this price range and location close to all transportation. Good breakfast.

Room Tip: Those rooms without toilet are small, so you might consider ensuite.

We stayed at the Falcon Hotel in September 2011. We had a twin room overlooking the park (11) with a lovely old sash window. The room and hotel aren't fancy, but well worth the price and provide great value. The TV was a nice flatscreen too, which is great for a less expensive hotel. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating even letting us keep our soy milk in the breakfast fridge downstairs. They will also go out of their way to help you and can give you good advice on what to do in London. The location was great being just a 2 min walk from Paddington station. Would definitely stay again.

Good Hotel, located along row of hotels in "park like" area just off main road. Near Paddington Station, with great access to main London sites and Heathrow, as well as Hyde Park - a short walk just to the south. For Americans, rooms were a bit small, though decent and clean. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Telephone, TV, strong Wi-fi, PC station with easy printing to nearby front desk. Fan provided to circulate cool outside air. Front desk had tourist books, we were able to borrow. Generally quiet after 9PM, and nice to have ability to make tea in room with quick heating kettle.
