“Careful on price”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

If you book online, the rate is anywhere from 80-230 pounds. But I found out if you walk up, the price is 40 pounds -- and they almost always have rooms. It's a good location, but there are plenty of hotels in the area (around Queensway), so you can get really good bargains. If you look at this one online and it's a high price, just keep shopping arond.

I had a lovely time in london a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, the manager (named Jaris) was so helpful and directed me to the tube station and gave me great tips to get to my destination - thank you, and your are a great asset to white leaf hotel, the bed was Comfy and the room was just right temperature the breakfast wasn't anything special but very tasty and done to perfection - again well done! The only down side is paying by card either debit or credit you get a 5% charge personally I think this is a bit out of order as there was NO mention of this so I had to go again to the cashpoint

Stayed here for one night on business as it was the only place I could find last minute that was a reasonable price around the Bayswater area. I didn't read the reviews until after I'd booked otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered. The hotel looks great from the outside and is in a great location, a few minutes’ walk from Bayswater tube station and Hyde Park. The first sign that it was not good news was having to pay up front in cash for the room (charge 5% for using a credit or debit card) I didn't realise so had to go off to find a cash point luckily there was one a few minute’s walk away. I was given a top floor/third floor room which was a pain with no lift and very narrow staircase. Luckily I am quite fit but no good if you have any mobility problems. I was glad I did have a top floor room as at least there was no noise from anyone above as having heard the TV easily through the walls I'd dread to think what it would be like being on a lower floor. The room was small with an en-suite shower room. The towels and sheets were clean but can't say the same for the rest of the room. There was a kettle and bits for making tea although didn't try the kettle so not sure if it worked but the hairdryer didn't. There was a small TV in the room with a number of channels. As others have said there was a wardrobe but no drawers fortunately being a twin room and only staying one night I could use the other bed for my suitcase etc. The room faced the back so was quiet but I was glad I was on a higher floor as the small window was tied up with wire and not closed so not very secure and would have been freezing in winter. Breakfast was basic, orange juice, Weetabix or cornflakes, white or brown toast and jam. The only plus point was the free Wi-Fi in the room which worked very well. A couple of times I had to refresh the link but no problems. The worse thing I noticed in the morning was that all the fire doors were wedged open so glad I didn't know that before I slept in the top floor room. Would I recommend it - yes but only if it was the only hotel room left and you were desperate for somewhere to stay in that area otherwise look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Guess there are no good rooms here but choose a top floor room if you want to get any sleep but not...

The breakfast room was very spatious, and they served an ok continental breakfast. The hotel lyes in a very nice location. Only a minute walk to the mainstreet and Bayswater station.
