Best Western Phoenix Hotel is located just mins walk from the Bayswater and Queensway Stations. As well, it's right next to the Whiteleys Shopping Center. The location is amazing and its surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants.
I stayed in a single room on the 2nd floor for almost a week, facing the beautiful Kensington Gardens Square, I couldn't get tired of the view. With the window opened, I was able to get some restful sleep. The thin walls and squeaky floors were a bit annoying at times but I got used to it very quickly.
The room was perfect, with everything from a very comfortable shower to a little kettle. The complimentary continental breakfast and wifi made my stay in London much more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was on a business trip and stayed in this hotel for a couple of days in August 2012. The location of the hotel is definitely its high point - walking distance from Hyde park, 3 tube stations in the vicinity, variety of restaurants and shops at close distance... The rooms are small but extremely comfy, the staff and service are very friendly, free wifi in the rooms and a more than decent continental breakfast to begin the day... Absolute value for money spent.

One nights stay here to visit Hyde Park winter wonderland. Very well located hotel in walking distance of the park or if your feeling unfit very close to Bayswater tube station. Nice area lots of shops and restaurants in very close walking distance and importantly plenty of pubs! The hotel itself is basic but clean and well kept, staff are friendly. The breakfast included is continental which was a fine selection of juices cereals etc....Full English is available at around £7.50 which is a standard price for the area. The one minor complaint was the temperature of the hotel, way too hot bearing in mind it's December i didn't expect to have to sleep with the duvet on the floor as the room was unbearably hot! Would stay here again if the price is right though as i very much enjoyed the area.

Room Tip: You probably have to pay more for a room which doesn't face the street, ones facing it are a lit...

Great little spot located close to public transport and Oxford Street is shopping is required.
As a lover of parks, Hyde Park was also just around the corner where I had some great walks. (Go and listen to people at Hyde Park Corner on a Sunday. It's hard not to laugh).

The Phoenix had everything i needed for a hotel as well as being very clean with helpful and caring staff.

I booked this hotel for the location, near many tube stations and shops (even a Zara round the corner) and as a single female business traveller needed somewhere safe. I love this hotel, the staff from the front desk to the amazing people who keep the room clean and well stocked of tea and coffee. It is a great price for London, and the rooms are immaculate, with a lovely brand new bathroom. I stayed in a single room and it was perfect for me and as somewhere to sleep and unwind after a busy day. The main points I want is somewhere safe, clean and somewhere I feel comfortable and the Phoenix definitely provides that for me. Since booking, I then re-booked another week as returned to London on business, and now about to book it again for next week. Some of the comments on here are very unfair and I would urge you to ignore them. The truth is that this is an adorable hotel, with amazing staff, the cleanliness of the rooms is fantastic and it will definitely be where I stay for my business trips. We have to be realistic and the fact is that for the price the Phoenix is value for money. Fundamentally this is an amazing price for what you get. Free WiFi also!

Room Tip: This hotel tries hard to help. So if you want a quiet room ask for it and they will try to help.

I must say that i entered the room i thought my holidays would be a nightmare. I live on a island with dozens of excellent hotels and thought i've ruined my vacations.
Nothing more wrong. The decoration is old (wall paper, old carpet) but is very, very well conserved and clean. The bed is very good, the bathroom was completely renovated.
Our room was number III on first floor, it is small but it had one extra bed on a compartment with stairs. We putted our bags there so it was perfect.
It was a excellent price vs value deal.

Room Tip: The double rooms they call "Suite" are regular small rooms but they have an extra space wi...

I picked up this hotel because its good location, just a short walk from 2-3 underground stations, and 400 mts from the Hyde Park´s north entrance.

Although the rooms are small and internet is a little slow, the staff was helpful and a continental breakfast is included in the rate.

The neighborood has a lot of charm with typical large attractive Victoria townhouses, multiple options for dinning out, and a 5min walking from Portobello Road Market, if you are lucky to stay there during the weekend.
