Admittedly; Beds were a bit on the hard side, all staff did not speak great English, the elevator was slow and the WiFi was useless anywhere but in the lobby/restaurant/bar area.
On the other hand, it's a charming hotel with a quite central location. Rooms are of decent size, the breafast is pretty good and the staff always remain happy and ready to help you. And remember, your wallet won't take too hard of a hit from this booking.

All in all, pretty great for it's price range! :)

I am sorry but I did not like this hotel at all. Very noisy. Old. Towels that smelled. The beds were not very good to sleep in. I am not coming back. One thing was good though, it was wifi included, which was nice. But still, even it the hotel isn´t that expensive it is not value for money. The location is good if you want to be close to Hyde Park.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights last Summer. It was our first trip to London and this hotel was great. The staff and service were awesome. I actually felt guilty when we walked in the restaurant one afternoon thinking we could get in an early dinner and just as we realized that the restaurant was not open yet, one of the staff saw us leaving and insisted we stay and he put in our order outside of the normal hours. Some of the reviewers are confusing old with dirty. Our room was very clean as was the bathroom. The little coal fireplace in the lobby is a nice touch and adds to the English feeling atmosphere. While the building is old, paint and other maintenance items are not neglected. The location is the other high point. You can walk across the street to Paddington Station, purchase an Oyster card for the tube (London Subway) and travel to anywhere in London in 15 minutes or less. We only used a taxi to get to the Airport which the hotel staff set up for us on our departure day. My final advice: If you want to experience an English atmosphere and enjoy a little historical architecture then this is a great hotel. If you are looking for modern/new construction and swimming pools, you would probably want something different.

Room Tip: Our room was in the basement level with a walkout porch. We loved it. The staff was afraid we woul...

Location: +++ perfect, 50 mtrs to Tubestation Lancaster Gate, Buses, 5 min. to Paddington.
Rooms: we booked double deluxe room, spacious room, tastefully decorated, TV with big screen, seating area, fireplace, bathroom with bathtub. Keep in mind that this hotel consists of 3old victorian townhouses. If you´re into modern no-frills hotel buildings, Elizabeth Hotel will be not the place for you. Wooden floors with carpets, double-glaced windows, heating perfect, room with additional air-conditioning. All in all very warm atmosphere in an old fashioned way. best hotelroom we experienced in London so far.
Breakfastroom/Restaurant; Theatre Bar, Lounge: Nice and cosy; Bar is opened til midnight; moderate prices for drinks and food. Great service and hospitality all around, experience a hearty welcome from the always very friendly and helpful staff.
Cleanliness: All is kept spotlessly clean and proper; very discrete service.
Breakfast/Meals: You´ve got the choice: continental (bread rolls, croissants, danish pastries, eggs, tea, coffee, butter, cereals, fruitsalad, a choice of marmalades, juices, milk) or full english (will cost some extra). Breakfast til 11 in the morning, that´s fine for late risers :-)! A selection of meals is served all day at the restaurant for reasonable prices. Full afternoon tea for 2 for LBP 19!
Check-In/Check-out: was done in seconds.
Lift: :-); it´s small, 2 max 3 pax, but it was ok for us. Size is owed to the fact that this is an old building.
Rose Garden: There´s a nice outside area. The terrace looked fine ... but it was winter ....
All in All - Experience: In the past 20 years we stayed at different hotels in London, Elizabeth Hotel is the winner - we definitely come back!

We stayed for 3 nights, the hotel itself is in a great location. The bedrooms were a little tired but clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast everyday and dinner one night. The food was reasonable priced and good. this hotel is very quaint and very English. If you are looking for modern this is not the place for you. the staff were fantastic and always ready to help with a smile. The location is perfect, right by a tube station, and a bus stop right outside the hotel. Plenty of pubs and restaurants near by, and can highly recommend the Swan pub around the corner, great food! the only reason for 4 stars is the bedrooms really, they do need a bit of a face lift. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest ear plugs, street traffic and noise from other guest can be a bit loud. Overall I would stay here again in a heart beat. Very enjoyable stay!

If you looking for history, quaint English decor, excellent service, comfortable room, free breakfast, decent price, great local then London Elizabeth is your hotel. Located right across from North end of Hyde Park, across from the Tube, down the street from the train station, perfect area for hailing a cab. Local pubs and restaurants nearby- The Swan and an Italian restaurant- Taormina both good and closeby. Across from Paddington Station was a good steakhouse. We had the room on the second floor(English 1st floor) with the large balcony over the front entry. The hustle and bustle of the traffic did not keep us awake but if you are a light sleeper, choose a back room. Good size room with ensuite. The view of the park was good to look out. I loved the little quirks in the hotel. The lift was small but great for luggage hauling. The breakfast and the restaurant was a nice added touch. One morning they even gave us a small conference room that looked like a small formal dining room for the 6 of us. Very nice and intimate. The staff was excellent, friendly and catered to anything we asked. I have seen some comments but they must be from some picky and unfriendly travelers. I have learned in my travelels, that if you go in looking for the bad, you will surely find it anywhere. There is always good to find everywhere. London Elizabeth just had many more good points for us at a decent price. Would I go back to this hotel- Definitely!

We never used or explore the full range of the hotel's facility as I had suffered a serious fall and was very restricted in my activities, I am therefore unable to comment on existence of a fitness centre and/or swimming pool.
The hotel is well sited for getting around in the Central London area. rooms and public areas were very well maintained and serviced.
There was more than one restaurant to chose from; but due to my situation, my husband and I opted for meals in our room. This was readily accommodated, and we were free to choose any item on the menu. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Room Tip: My husband and I were on the street level floor; the reception desk was half-floor higher (mezzanine...
