ve just had the most amazing weekend in London Staying at the Washington MAyfair located in a fabulios position 1 minutes walk from Picadilly 10 minutes walk to Leicester Square, the pictures of this hotel do not do it justice, wonderfully decorated very large rooms and wonderful bath rooms.
However it is the Staff that make this hotel, from the General Manager who happened to Check me in and gave me such a warm welcome to the waitresses who served us afternoon tea and breakfast.
Infact service was so good we decided to have dinner in the hotel rather than trying to find a restaurant before going for an evening out.
The bed was amazingly confortable giving me a nights sleep of the innocent
All in all this has to be a one off hotel, and everyone should try it, it is only 4 star, why it is not 5 star with the decor and service i just dont know

Room Tip: my room was 117 a fabuliosly large room

I needed a base for 3 days in town, and this ticked all the boxes perfectly. Being so central, I expected it to be noisy, but it was super quiet. I thought it was over priced for the quality of the hotel (it's a good 3* in my opinion) but the room was adequate and the bathroom was nice (but small). I booked a twin room and expected two double beds but actually got 2 single beds. I haven't slept in a single bed since I was 8 years old, but that's a minor point. I would definitely recommend this for the location.

Great hotel and excellent service from very friendly staff. Very good breakfast , lots to choose. Loved the location whether by foot, tube, bus or cab. We went as a couple however would recommend to families or groups .

My first ever trip to london was at Washington Mayfair in central london near greenpark tube in westminister city. This a place quiet and nice luxury hotel in the heart of the city. The chef gives a great english breakfast. Hyde park, buckingham palace, and picadilly are quite close from here and this place is also quite economical viz a viz the nearby bigger hotels like hyatt and ritz etc.

Beautiful hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is Excellent. Very close to green Park and green park tube station walking distance from oxford street and picadaly street.. Comfortable beds. but rooms were a bit small. I even got an upgrade without requesting for one.
