I stayed with my wife and little daughter and found the hotel very nice. It is brand new and close to the River Thames. You´re just steps away of a #3 bus stop that will take you in minutes to Picadilly and Trafalgar square (better than the tube). It has a small playroom for children and is very "baby friendly". The only downside is the temperature since the heating is really high in the rooms and you can't modify it.

WARNING THIS HOTEL IS NOT AIRCONDITIONED!!!! On arrival thought the interier looked nice and clean. When we got to our room it was very hot! Turned the so called air to cool! It did nothing! View was of dirty alley and car park! Was meant to be a "superier" room I would hate to have been in an average room as it was overpriced, Staff were unhelpful and disinterested us. would not recommend this hotel the only advantage was its location! definately NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!

Plus - good reception, large well equipped rooms with separate toilet and bathroom. Good facilities in rooms. We had an executive room which was very large for London. Bathroom was excellent. Hotel was well run including breakfast and bar. Location is good, quiet but near to houses of parliament, london eye etc.
Minuses - only two really, a fair distance to wealk to decent pubs or restaurants and a bit slow clearing the tables at breakfast

I went to London with a friend in April. We were looking for hotel that wans't too expensive and that would guarantee us 2 beds in the room. Only the Novotel offered such guarantees. The room was a bit small but then again, all hotel rooms in London are. The bathroom was very modern, clean and had a real stand-up shower as well as a bath. There wasn't much around the hotel at a walking distance but there were several bus stops in front of the hotel from where you could go anywhere. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was amazing and very helpful. There was free internet access in the lobby but you had to pay for access in the room.

arrived at hotel. quick check in at 2 pm. Room was big with sofa . carpet very dirty. Bathroom
clean but toilet has no extractor fan which was odd. All was good til about 1 am when lots of banging and screaming which seemed to go on for an hour. Trouble is walls are so thin so you can hear every door banging and people in hallway. Breakfast was buffet style and was not good at all. Most things sausage and bacon were luke warm and eggs were horrible.
Certainely not worth paying 18£ for. In all very good location but compared to the premier inn
i visited last year that was a far better hotel

We just stayed for one night to visit an exhibition at Tate Britain. The hotel is conveniently located near to Waterloo Bridge, next to Lambeth Palace. The view from our window was fantastic, including Lambeth Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

I have stayed in this hotel 4 or 5 times over the past 2 years and i have usually been pleased with the hotel and the standard of service i was getting. However i stayed here in April for 3 nights and i was very disappointed.

good points
The reception and entrance is immaculate.
My room was very clean and tidy , the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom large and the power shower was brilliant.
cold buffet breakfast choice very plentiful
quiet location - Although could be a bad point if you are looking for local amenities.

bad points
1st night restaurant service was very very slow - took 20 minutes to take my order then 25 minutes for the starter to arrive, the main arrived immediately after the starter. both the starter and the main were hot and tasty but nothing special. The restaurant was virtually empty so wasn't sure why service was so slow.

2nd night - again took a long time to take my order and i had to grab a waiter to get my order taken. starter and main were again tasty and very hot, i felt they were not freshly cooked to order and i got the feeling that the food was 'boil in the bag' or microwaved.

3rd night
I wasn't going to waste my money and time again in the restaurant soI ate in the bar and had a nice pizza

Breakfast was ok for cold buffet but the hot breakfast was dire, i ate at 7.30 and hoped that the cooked breakfast would be nice and fresh, when in fact it was the opposite, luke warm and horrid, the potato cakes were like discus ! The scrambled eggs were the worst eggs i have ever tasted, like rubber and a horrid sulphurous smell. yuk there is no way a chef made this or if they did they certainly did not taste their food

Over all very disappointed with the food and the service in the restaurant, which is going to make me think twice about staying here again , a shame because i know how good this used to be in the past. I certainly will not be recommending this hotel in the future.
