Me and my boyfriend visited this museum and didn't know what to expect. It was a fantastic museum full of history and very famous guns and military equipment. We was having such a lovely day looking around and reading all about the guns and tanks when a volunteer named Martin asked if we would like a personal guided tour. We agreed and was shown around by Martin and told stories of individual items. There was part of the museum where some guns were covered by sheets and he even uncovered them for us to see and told us all about their history. This made our trip even more special and I would just like to thank Martin for making it an extra special day. Loved the museum and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a visit.

Have just come back from a wonderfully organised and delivered Beaver Scout sleepover. The activities were great the beavers and their leaders had a brilliant time exploring the history of guns, WWII air raids, rocket launching and marching. The evening events even included a cleverly executed campfire. In the morning the event culminated in a kit inspection where the kids showed off their nearly acquired packing skills.
The staff were great fun, friendly and helpful and even more credit is due to them as we found out that ours was the first sleepover this team had done. The food was enjoyed by all and served to our hungry hoard with ease and speed. So thanks to the cafe team as well. Great thanks to Richie for all the help during the organising. Finally I would thank staff by name but was too busy enjoying myself to remember to ask them their names but they know who they are.

Lovely day spent here looking at the exhibits, they even had a guided tour into a side building which stores several British prototypes and oddities that you won't see anywhere else.

I learnt from the volunteer leading the tour that the place was due to close in 2017 and most of the collection will be shifted off site to rot in some inaccessible base/storage depot. It is quite sad that they have to leave due to the small number of visitors and that the place is going to be redeveloped for cultural reasons. Quite weird that the weapons will be moved out of the Arsenal, why call it an Arsenal then?

So visit this place while you can especially if you are a military history buff or part of the artillery service.

We spent a lovely day out here. The tour around the tanks and guns was excellent. The cafe very reasonable. The only thing was it wasn't well sign posted when you come out of the underground station and we did walk the opposite direction for a while.

We went to the Ghost Tour at Firepower last evening. An excellent tour guide who had clearly researched her subject and added humour to her speech. We were treated to sausages and mash and a cuppa which was included in the price. Overall an excellent experience and value for money.
