If there is one place in London you should avoid, this is it.It's jam packed, smelly and noisy. There is nothing here you can't find in any average sized town or city, it's just bigger and the staff in most of the shops are ruder, or so indifferent you might as well be invisible.
Avoid like the plague and visit Petticoat Lane or Covent Garden!

The title of my review says it all. Oxford Street has plenty of shopping that caters to all types of budgets and tastes. One can easily spend hours going in and out of different shops or eating in the different cafes. If you like to shop, spend at least a couple of hours here!

This marvelous street doesnt seem to have an end, which is a really good thing. Filled with shops, cafes, restaurants you cannot leave london without spending at least a day wondering around this street.

By the time we'd finished walking up and down Oxford St, our feet were in bits! The most fundamental piece of advice I'd give to anyone planning a shopping trip here would be to wear comfortable shoes - even in my Vans I was limping by the end!

Oxford Street is like a normal high street in some ways, but how many high streets do you know that has two Primarks?! It's a mile and a half long, right in the middle of Central London, accessible by Underground (Holborn, Oxford Circus, Bond Street, Marble Arch), bus, and if you're feeling adventurous (we were) then it's accessible by foot too. Leicester Square and Covent Garden are a 15 minute walk in one direction, Hyde Park, Green Park and Westminster a 20 minute walk in the other. And if you're feeling lazy, there are Rickshaws everywhere for a reasonable price.

We visited on Bank Holiday Monday and found that it wasn't too busy, though it was bustling with all sorts of activity. There are plenty of shops to suit everyone's needs. And you'll always find a bargain! We came away with a new summer wardrobe each, gifts for family members and a game for my other half. I'm not exaggerating when I say there's something for everyone. And John Lewis/Selfridges/Debenhams are HUGE. You're never more than 5 minutes away from a cafe or refreshments stand.

It's definitely somewhere I'll be considering visiting when I start my Christmas shopping this year! Can't wait to go again!
