Oh my - everything from the cold exterior on the south bank of the Thames, to the bustling foyer in which free performances abound, to the various productions that are on at any one time. The NT is an institution, one that I am very grateful exists. It's a great place to sit outside in the summer and take in a free show or exhibition. Inside the theatre, there are the free mini concerts (as mentioned before) and several bars, which lends it self to a quick after work catch up. I love the National - nuff said :).
