Me and my partner went to London for the first time and did not know about this hotel. I gave him this trip in a birthday present.
When we first came to the hotel at the late evening, they told us to wait because they had a problem with the electricity in 15 rooms. We got free drinks in the bar and we thought fair enough, things could happen. But after 30 - 45 minutes, they told us that we couldn't get our room for the night. We had to wait to the next morning.
We where tired and the time was now after midnight. I asked the receptionist what he meant, did we have to sleep at the street or what? He told us that we could sleep in the lobby at the hotel. We refused to sleep in a lobby with 20 other people, so we asked for our money back and asked if they could help us to get another hotel. They told us we will get our money back. That's okay, but they did not help us with anything else. They gave us free internet to search for other hotels, but we had to call them ourselves with our cellphones. We did not know where to start, and did not know where the different places where or how to get around in London in the middle of the night. I asked for help, but the receptionists just ignored us. Then we were stuck in London with no place to sleep in the middle of the night. And they weren't helpful at all. NO service minded!!
I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. You can't trust that you'll even get a room for the night, even if you have paid for it!! They don't know what service means and they don't care about you as a guest or a person! One thing is crappy service and medium cleanliness, but if you even can't get your room that you paid for or help, than it's too bad! I have traveled a lot, but never met more un-professional staff in my life. Our vacation was already destroyed before we got there!! This is something we will remember for the rest of our lives!

I booked this hotel via the internet before reading the reviews so it was with some trepidation we walked into reception, but the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We had booked a double with en suite but the actual room was only single size with a double bed taking nearly all the room, no furniture but a rail to hang clothes and a shelf for tea making. A TV high on the wall had no remote, only 5 channels and very poor reception. It is badly in need of decoration and a good clean but the bed was clean and comfortable and the en suite ok, again needs some work. All in all a very tired hotel but good value as in a good position. Continental breakfast was cornflakes and toast but at £50 for the room & bfst we thought it was not bad value - and great views from the restaurant where you have breakfast.

OMG I don’t know where to start this is the worse hotel I ever been too. on arrival we came at 7am because we came from far we ask for a room with a bubble bed they said they don’t have none but they have single rooms with bump beds we decided to take that one but we paid for a bubble bed room and was meant to change in to a dabble room later on in the day witch never happen, the lady on the reception told my ms to have a look at the room before paying (NOW THATS SAYING SOME THING) On the way to the room the true colures of the hotel started to show there was a damp smell in the hall ways to the rooms and the walls where all coming off, when we got in the room there was 4 single beds a TV with only 5 channel with bad signal two electric plugs in the hole room, croton dint even meet up when closing them, we went for breakfast and was shock to see how it look, the toaster dint work rite we order 2 full English the waiter said we have to pay first but he still place the order and we didn’t even pay for the breakfast it was so crap and unorganised, later on in the day we went to the bar and got ovary charged order some food and the chirps was soft and gone off later on i went back to the bar got a packet of chirps witch was out of date. in the morning the house keeping keep knocking on the door knowing that we have 1houre left till check out, there is so much more but I don’t have the time just don’t go there because you will not have a good time, from what I’ve seen with other guest the staff are not help full as all no smiley faces very very very CRAP HOLTEL ADVOID IT IF YOU CAN.

PEOPLE WHO EXPECT TO PAY LESS THAN FIFTY POUNDS FOR A DOUBLE ROOM AND GET A FIVE STAR SERVICE !! if you want that sort of service then you have to go to a hotel above 3 starts ! this is a 2 star hotel and you knew that when you paid for it. This hotel is nice on entry, and not bad at all. its not luxury, but i dont know why you would be expecting luxury at this price. bed was clean, bathroom was fine, not too small at all, i stayed in room 160 with a mate and we both found it comfortable enough, and i would visit again. fried breakfasts are extra, but we had a double room for 2 people for 2 nights and we paid a total of 80 pounds, (hotels.com). if you want to have your bags carried and flowers by your bed in a modern place ... PAY MORE !

They don't have bell boy so you will carry your own luggage. The elevator don't go to 3rd floor I was unluncky to get a room in third floor...I have no phone, no alarm clcok,no fridge,no safe deposit box,no ice maker....For breakfast they only have toasted bread, 2 kinds of cereals corn flakes unsweetened and corn flakes unsweetened. And fruit cocktail.. No cable. They have a small antenna for a 13inch TV. The staffs are so unfriendly. They don't greet you at all. Never smile .But the houskeeping is excellent. They change the bed everyday. The hotel looks good inside but it's rundown inside needs a lot of remodelling. No onsite laundry. The location is not bad. There are good restaurants around the area. A big grocery store is next to it....I have so many complaints, but I had a good time and didn't pay attention to all the missing details here in my complaints. I had a good 10days with my husband that's all that counts. But we will never go back there again, and we will not recommend the hotel.

We booked this room on Laterooms.com under the guise of getting a £150 studio room at the bargain price of £55 a night, a blind man wouldn't have paid that. We arrived over an hour later than check in to find our room still wasn't ready. When finally in our room we discovered there was nowhere to hang up our clothes apart from what looked like half a wardrobe above one of the beds. It was 3 single beds in a room in the basement which opened onto a dingy courtyard with some wilting plants in pots. The whole hotel smelt and had people drilling, screwing and painting in the corridors at all hours of the day and night. Very few of the staff spoke English and those who did were rude and uncaring. Our TV had no aerial and did not work anyway. The curtains had bird poo on them, there was a hole in the ceiling, only one light which was full of dust so it was hard to see, nowhere to put our clothes and the toilet roll holder was broken. The doors in the corridors had wall bricks for door stoppers and there were planks of wood laid along the corridors. Every evening we were treated to what sounded like baby elephants rampaging in the room above. The beds were hard and the duvets were filled with folded blankets, the sheets were at least clean as was the bathroom. The "continental" breakfast consisted of only toast and cereal with juice or coffee. There were boards nailed over the walls to cover up holes and the reception and bar area seemed to be the only decent parts of the hotel, although it took 20 minutes to get someone to the bar to serve a drink. The reception staff were particularly unhelpful, failing to tell us our room card had to be activated each day and refused to give us the number of the local police station when we needed to contact them on an urgent but unrelated matter whilst staying. Room service was said to be available but non existent. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.
