The temperature in the corridor of the ground floor was too hot; if it was "normal" I would have rated this hotel to the maximum in all aspects. Room had all the needed items; the hotel location is quite; the staff very friendly and competent.

GOOD THING:
The hotel has a nice location, close to the Tube, Hide Park, Notting Hill.
It is quite clean.

BAD:
The rooms are ridiculously small (and of course the bed was small as well).
In our room was not possible to open the window...
WI FI Internet not accessible in the room.
The fitness center consists of 1 bike and 1 running machine and its 2 square meters big :-)

The single deluxe room, I stayed in for one night, was a far cry from anything deluxe. It was so small and so hot that I could hardly breath or move. The tiny bathroom with it's tiny shower merly fitted me. The one window in the room overlooked other windows by a meter. With between the windows large ventilation tubes making extreme noise leaving the option of opening the window for fresh air out. The night was loud, unpleasantly hot and without any sleep.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in April. The booking had been amended but the hotel had no record. As a result we were upgraded. The upgraded room was tiny with a very low ceiling. The bed was so uncomfortable I slept on the floor.

There is a vast choice of hotels in London which means, there has to be some way how to catch a customer. One way is a fancy name, like Shaftesbury Premiere London Notting Hill. It is a combination of words that promise a peacefull tranquility (Notting Hill) combined with professional expertise (Premiere) and Shaftesbury which actually is a small town in southern England. Add some stars to the name and customers will show up. I have made a pre-paid reservation at this hotel more than one month in advance and of course got a confirmation of the booking . Reservation was for my son. When he arrived at the hotel in the evening he was informed by the staff that his reservation was canceled. And that e-mail was sent to him the day before!! Of course he had a print of booking confirmation, but anyway he was turned away with explanation that there was something wrong with the credit card number and the room was already occupied. There are some "premiere" substandard issues. If you do a month in advance pre-payed booking you do not expect a cancellation night before. There is no way of writing whatever number of the credit card wrongly because this would not be accepted by the system, you would immediately get a denial of payment . So if You are tempted by this hotels fancy name or its stars You `d better book another hotel in the neiborhood at the same time, just in case,so You will not be left standing in the street. Much more simple of course is to avoid this hotel. There is plenty of accomodation in the Bayswater area.
