I had my secretary book me a few days at the Holiday Inn in London Southwark this summer. Unfortunately, she got the dates wrong. I discovered this the very next day and immediately phoned the hotel. They told me they couldn't change the reservation because it had been made through a third party, LondonTown booking, even though the reservation is months away. I went to the LondonTown site and it said if I cancelled I would be charged the full amount. They have not responded to my emails. So, because of this agency, I will end up paying for a room I will never use. An incredible rip-off.
