“A very nice surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

Well when a friend suggested Georgian food we raised our eyebrows and thought we will try it once. What a lovely surprise to discover a nice spicy palate and even quaffable wine. I would recommend the mixed starters and the chicken or pork the dumplings are a very generous portion and the salmon was that differentiated.
A good place to try in this part of town.

“A real surprise!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

My daughter told me about this place and we decided to try it out. It blasts any notion of Georgian and Russian food straight out of the water!
We had the starters which were suffed aubergines (the walnut paste was sublime) and Georgian bread stuffed with cheese from the caucasus.
Lovely food! Not a whiff of pickled cabbage or too much Dill...and the bright green soft drink was like something out of Harry Potter...it tasted really amazing and just fell short of having a little steam rising from the surface.

there was a fine selection of unusual wines, all from the Caucasus and plenty for the vegetarians to get the teeth into.
Highly recommended...tucked away close to King's Cross station on Caledonian Road...just get off the train and go straight there! That's the plan on my next London visit!

London foodies, you are missing a trick if you don't try Iberia. Tucked away on the Cally Rd this little restaurant has great wines, delicious mezze and fantastic service. We ate the Badrijani (aubergine with walnuts and pomegranate seeds) and Lobiani (red bean-stuffed flatbread), with Ajapsandali (ratatouile) and Mstvadi (grilled pork with plum sauce and potatoes). All were delicious and the portions so large we struggled to finish! Georgian brandy and coffee were also excellent, and the OH managed to find room for some traditional Georgian cake, the Sigareti, or walnut roll. The servers were friendly, informative but not intrusive and the place was buzzing on a Sunday night. It's small, so maybe book in advance unless you're local like I am. I'm going back really soon.

“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2012

Wanted to take friends to try Georgian food while being in London and a Georgian friend recommended us Iberia.

It was a wonderful recommendation, the food was very good and the service excellent.

Being married to a Georgian, Georgian cuisine is something that I can appraisal and the best way to confirm was to see empty dishes every time a new plate was comming :-)

We had :

Imeruli khachapuri
Acharuli Khachapuri
Soko Moshushuli
And .... Khinkali :-)

The service is very good and everyone is very pleasant

I would most definitely go back as well as my friends who became fans of Georgian food.

Wonderful dinner for a wonderful weekend at London
