From the roof top to the graves in the floor, so much to experience. Be sure to explore as much of the property as allowed.

We attended the remembrance service at Westminster abbey on 11/11/18. The most beautiful place. The service ran like clockwork. From the queue to security and then onto the abbey to be seated for the service was all just perfect. Walking in myself and my 11 yr old were in awe at the beauty of the abbey. We were greeted several times prior to being seated, this was wonderful and really made our experience all the more special and for that we will be forever grateful. Can’t wait to return.

There was quite a line to get in, but once in you were given a headset to help guide you along the many, many things to see in the different areas of the building. We were awe-struck by history, the grandeur, and the sacredness of the place. It is worth the time in our opinion.

So magnificent, breath taking beauty with the history hovers above . My excitement was
So deep. Sorry if I use these festive words, I was honestly so thrilled.
The only thing that bothered me was the price of the ticket. Coming with several people, it was hard reality...

A thousand years of history in the blink of an eye! You will wonder, like so many of London's architectural gems, how such intricate work could be created all those years ago.
I have visited many times and never fail to be amazed at the skill of the Artisans.

In London for the Remembrance Parade. Called into the gardens to the rear/side of the Abbey. Such a beautiful and poignant sight to behold, the thousands of poppy crosses, commemorating the fallen of WW1. Very emotional. Visited at last light and very moving experience.

Taking some visiting friends on a whistle stop city trip, Westminster Abbey is a must see for Royal historians, and those interested in architecture. Don't think you can realistically do the Abbey in an hour
Once inside enjoy the tranquility, view the last resting place of over a dozen British monarchs and don't forget to look up.
Helpful knowledgeable advice around too.
There's also a good cafe/ lunch stop in the abbey too to recharge the batteries.
Take time and enjoy.

Simply amazing place to visit! Everyone you read about in British history is here, except Henry viii who is in Windsor Castle. If you miss out on visiting here you will be disappointed when you realize all the history surrounding Westminster.

If you hate lines as I do, I suggest prepaying for tickets. If not, do not be intimidated by the line. We waited about 30 minutes to get in, it goes by very quickly. Audio guides are included I believe...
I’m going to try and not write an essay but in a nutshell: try not to be overwhelmed. This church is the heart of the nation. This is where Kings and Queens have been coronated, married and buried ( literally beneath your feet as slabs will read or their monuments will erected). But not just the royal are interred here. The church is divided into sections for prominent figures, royalty, religious figures and those who contributed to the nation. A high point for me was the poets corner. Here you’ll see a tribute to Shakespeare and the resting place of Chaucer and Lord Byron. It’s hard not to be moved to tears by the history in this cathedral.
