“Simply cannot be missed”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

There's little point to going to London if you miss Westminster Abbey. Despite the throngs of tourists, etc, it is an absolute must see. It is an incomprehensible journey through British history. To be standing over or in proximity to legendary figures: Darwin, Newton, Elizabeth I, St. Edward, etc, is hard to comprehend.

I strongly suggest booking a guided tour. The audio tour only scratches the surface. We listened in on a couple of groups, and they were getting much more information.

“So much History”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

Westminster Abbey is full of history. I did not realise that so many of Britains Kings & Queens are entombed here including Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria to name a few as well as so many figures from the past Chaucer, D H Lawrence, Charles Dickens the list goes on.

“A Must See in London”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Westminster Abbey is a must see London attraction. The architecture is amazing and the many years of history are more than informative. There is a gift shop with truly unique items for sale. In addition I would recommend a visit to the Cellarium for breakfast....good atmosphere and very good food.

“Makes one feel diminutive”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

To say anything other than this 'attraction' being excellent would be sacriligious. This is such an awe-inspiring beautiful place... oozing British history. We used the audioguide and it worked well to see us through. We especially loved the Lady's chapel.Sadly there was restoration work at the back of it so we didn't see all round. I was also quite taken with Poet's corner. This is a must see for all visitors to London.

“Waited in queue longer than I spent inside”
Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Westminster Abbey is quite pricey and you'll have to queue up for up to half an hour, but I suppose it is definitely unique and significant for its history.
