This is a great hotel with great service. As I walked thru the lobby, all the employees knew my name. I loved the elegance of the old building combined with updated details in the room. Everything was just as we wanted. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to London.

We stayed many times in this hotel because it's amazing location(knightsbridge). In spite of the fact that the rooms are very old the main restaurant and the Bar Boulud are very nice and completely refurbished. We ate very often at Bar Boulud and the food was always excellent. It's a nice and cosy atmosphere and the people are very friendly. I strongly recommend the Rib eye steak which was delicious.

Our client asked us to meet their representatives at this wonderful. "expense account", luxury hotel. Location is perfect: on Hyde Park. Walkable to Harrod's, Harvey Nichols. Every service we used in our suite was excellent: from food to spa to spotless room. Excellent security.
Take a stroll to Buckingham Palace. See if the Queen is in residence.

This hotel's rankings of #207 overall and #137 for luxury properties, pretty well sums up the situation. The building looks great and the location is excellent, so why the low rankings?
First, the high prices cause the guest to have some expectation for service and facilities
that is rarely met. At these prices, one can easily stay in a top 10 ranked hotel in London.
Overall very inconsistent service at all levels, each stay is a new adventure that may be
ok or very unpleasant. The other impression one quickly gets is that management and
staff really don't care.
On my last stay ( and this was my final stay), I was having an unpleasant check-in and
asked for the manager, I was told he was busy and he would contact me shortly,
checking out 2 days later,I had never been contacted. Don't waste your money at this hotel,
so many better options available.

Our stay in this hotel was simply- perfect. We were there for a ‘Babymoon’. The staff were lovely. The room was silent, which is often my biggest bug-bear and a great achievement for a central London Hotel, overlooking Knightsbridge. The suite was stunning and I loved the way the bed was turned down in the evening. We honestly couldn’t fault it.
