“Compact But Central”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Great location near the Tottenham Court tube, British Museum, Oxford St, SOHO, Chinatown etc.

The first night the room I had was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I guess space is at a premium in London, but this took 'compact' to an entirely new level. The next night I had a slightly bigger room... though not big, in comparison to the first night it felt spacious. The staff were friendly and overall the hotel was pleasant.

The default breakfast was solid (yoghurt/muesli, croissant, toast, jam, OJ and tea) and there's a good pub just a few doors down.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the bigger rooms... some are incredibly small.

We got a good cheap deal through triviago, and it's definitely worth looking out for that. The room was very clean with a good sized bathroom for the two of us. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with great food. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as well. A short 10 minute walk and you can be into central London! Great hotel, would definitely stay there again!

Just returned from a wonderful and very relaxing stay from My hotel Bloomsbury in London. The hotel is situated in Central London. We spent most of our time during the days visiting museums, British museum is literally at the corner and going for shopping at Oxford Street. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, the lobby has been refurbished and there is a sitting reception, with a new working space and a bakery, all at the same level. The food was good and there is a nice variation in the dishes.
The staff was excellent and by that I mean the staff everywhere in the hotel; from the housekeepers to the management team to the spa therapist. We were always greeted with a smile and the staff were always willing to have a quick chat - it really does make a difference to the stay.

Admittedly there are a couple of areas in the hotel that could definitely do with some updating, in particular the rooms need to get a bit more modernized like the lobby area.
If you are looking for a central location with comfortable rooms and good cuisine, My hotel Bloomsbury is the perfect place to go; we had a perfect stay and will definitely be returning again.

Have stayed at My Hotel in Brighton which is fantastic so decided to try another one to check it wasnt a fluke and it wasn't!

Great location with very friendly and informal staff, no stuffiness here. Rooms nicely done out and whilst not as roomy as brighton (it is an old building rather than a purpose built new hotel after all) it was still more than big enough. Very big & very cosy bed to crash into at the end of a busy day.

Will definately come back and will definately use My Hotel again.

Room Tip: Only thing i can think to say is we were on the top floor and was woken up by a pigeon cooing!
