Visited for the first time this week and was so impressed by the wonderful interior space, full of light. There was an exhibition by the Turner prize winning painter Chris Ofili which evoked memories of a Chagall show I'd seen many years ago.
Really good to see artists supported in such an amazing space. The unassuming exterior hides a treat for those who make it up to this off-beat location off City Rd. See their website for current events.

The Victoria Miro Gallery in Islington is a beautiful space in the midst of city sprawl. Currently showing ( free) Grayson Perry- The Vanity of Small Differences. Six tepestries showing class mobility reflected by aesthetic taste. Grayson produces art that truly makes the viewer think, probably too many thoughts if that is possible.
It is worth jumping on the 43 bus from London Bridge or any other bus or tube for that matter to leave the 'normal' wonderful art galleries of central London to visit this exhibition, it will give you many reasons then to go back and seek out the inspirations and influences of Perrys' work.
The gallery itself is a fabulous space. On the day I visited refreshments were provided by Wharf Road Bakery. Their Rhubarb cup cakes gave a taste of summer, which in this rain-soaked month , is greatly required. The tea was hot and strong.
