Owner description: From a small grocery store in Piccadilly in 1707, has grown a celebrated store with an international reputation for the exclusivity and quality of the products it sells. Fortnum's Food Hall is an irresistible display of gourmet pleasures, from chocolates and biscuits to smoked salmon and Stilton, vintage marmalade and seasonal produce. Passionate about provenance, we are proud to recommend every jar, spoonful and slice for our hungry customers.

7 of us had a great time celebrating a hen party here! I organised it and booking was very easy - a short phone call. No deposit. We arrived and as 1 member of our party had pulled out due to illness I mentioned this at the desk...they swiftly sent a man to re-arrange the table (rather than have one spare seat). Tea was ordered and enjoyed by all! It was amazing! Fab for a special occasion :)

Bought a box of chocolates during the Diamond Jubilee, got on a 15hr flight to go back to Asia, only to find these chocolates were disgustingly mouldy! After 3 weeks of constant emailing to Customer Relations, they are offering me a refund or a credit note that can only be used in the UK or online with shipping at my own cost. Disappointing and appauling service from Fortnum& Mason.

This store is a classic and a must visit. My 2 and a half year old and I enjoyed wandering around looking at all the various departments, wishing we had an endless supply of money.
I particularly enjoyed the china and beauty areas, so many wonderful items!
The staff were all fantastic with helping navigate the store and the bathrooms were easily accessable with wonderful hand wash and body lotion.
Be sure to be outside the building on the hour to watch mr Fortnum and Mr Mason greet each other in front of the clock.

This store seems to sell everything. Most people spend their time in the Food Halls , but go upstairs to the other floors to discover gifts & clothing as well as beauty

just love fortnum and mason the quality of the food is excellent and such a variety. the store is laid out nice and seems quite spacious. the staff are very professional and knowledgeable. some things are very expensive as you would imagine in a shop like this but i have seen some groceries that are actually dearer in the supermarkets than here.
