Owner description: Separated from Hyde Park by the Serpentine, a lake used by boaters and swimmers, this park is calmer and more peaceful than its neighbor, and features many attractions including a statue of Peter Pan, Albert Memorial and the Serpentine Art Gallery.

Visited the Albert Memorial and had a pleasant peaceful walk through. We were followed by two young squirrels, obviously after some food. They must have seen us eating. However there are signs saying not to feed them. They were so funny though, following us, running ahead and back and so tame. Really made us smile and we were sad when they eventually gave up and ran off! Lovely park though. Quiet and peaceful, ideal escape from the busy city.

The gardens are really lovely and well maintained. We experienced primarily rainy weather during the visit to London but took advantage of the brief sunshine on the Sunday to walk through the gardens. Well worth the time and effort

We were staying at a hotel on Bayswater Rd and woke up to a stunning sun-rise over Kensington Gardens. After breakfast we wrapped up warm and headed over to the gardens. Even at this time of the year they are stunning and we were not alone, dog walkers, joggers and strollers like ourselves enjoying a cold but beautiful winters day. We continued through the gardens and headed for Hyde park and watching the ducks trying to stay upright on the ice on the Serpentine was hilarious.A lovely way to spend the morning in the capital. My one disappointment was we were not able to get a hot drink at the end of our walk in the park, however just across the road at Lancaster Gate we found a pub serving tea and coffee-heaven

Tranquil beauty on a early Sunday morning in Summer
Take a book and sit by the lake or in the afternoon shade of tree
