“It's ok”

We went on Christmas day. I'm not sure what we were expecting but, it was a pretty average attraction. Maybe it's because it was Christmas but they were very disorganized. The things on display were interesting but, it was somewhat expensive and not well run.

“If you are a Charles Dickens fan....”

And you are visiting London, I highly suggest you visit the Charles Dickens Museum, situated where he lived in London. They've done a fine job of maintaining the house and making it into an interesting tour. I thought the gift shop held a wide array of great gifts and mementos as well. And there is a lovely cafe at the back for cup o' tea. PS: if you are around at Christmas, they decorate the house beautifully for the season.

“Charles Dickens Museum”

I toured this Museum last week and it was excellent and a lovely place to enjoy lunch after the self tour. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff were very congenial and knowledgeable and the home was beautifully designed with a lovely gift shop.

“Best little museum in London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2013

If youre into learning about Charles Dickens the man and author. Jussst excellent. I went before the revamp and now Ive seen it after. It's not a spectacular museum but it is very intimate and insightful. What's more is it has an awesome gift shop. It's so reasonably priced that I walked out with something each time I was there. What a novel concept ;)

If it's not your bag, dont go. If it might be, I advise you to go :)
It is excellent at being what it aims to be.

Walking distance from Russel Square Tube. If youre day-tripping, I suggest you find other things to do in the area. The museum wont take you much more than an hourish.

“STEP BACK IN TIME”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2013

If you have even the slightest interest in Mr. Dicken's go spend an afternoon there as in this house you get a glimpse into the man and his life. What struck me most was the comfort and serenity that envelopes you in the town house and the feeling creation that lives here. I also was blown away by how close I came to designing his study for a theatre production I worked in a few years back - spooky!
