“Worthwhile Australian Exhibition till 5th December !”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

This exhibition is one for those interested in the development of Australian art since the beginning of the 19th Century up to the present day .Fortunately there is also aboriginal art though most of it, is with the odd exception, has been created in the 20th or 21st Century.
I would strongly advise visitors to take the audio tour which, even though you may be well versed in the art you see, will add that extra bit of depth and interest.
I spent almost 3 hours viewing the large collection! The R. is worth visiting A

“Wow the new keepers house”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

If you haven't visited the new Keepers House facility at the Royal Academy, do so now! Fabulous bar serving great cocktails in sleek, modern style, elegant restaurant sporting green baize interior with mounted sculptures from the Royal academy's collection and first class food and wine. Open to public after 4pm, reserved for Friends only until 4pm.

“Great hidden place to visit!”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

Non-members are allowed in after 4pm. And for a lovely meal, drinks at the bar or coffee, you can't beat it. We went to the bar and the drinks were incredible -- all fresh ingredients. You can sit inside or out. The setting is incredible. You can tour the school. Even the bathrooms are neat, tucked away in old wine cellars -- a great experience.

“Australian Art and the Daumier exhibition”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Both these exhibitions are really good. The Australian one is pretty comprehensive and the Aboriginal exhibits are very impressive. The Daumier exhibition is very revealing of the man and his times and shows him to be much under appreciated. He seemed to be the master of every medium he touched. Allow plenty of time to visit - there is a lot to see.
