The National Portrait Museum was time well spent while in London. One aspect we really enjoyed was the number of familiar faces we saw at different times in their lives. Would recommend spending a couple of hours here.

Tucked away at the side and rear of the National Gallery sits the National Portrait Gallery.
Perhaps the younger sister in size, but by no means in style and quality of the collection.
There are a lot of eyes following you around this museum, exquisitely curated. Some of the faces you want to inspect, some you recognize and some you'd just as soon never want to meet on a dark London street, but as a whole they are most memorable. Sculpture, photography and multi-media pieces play a role too. While not as massive as her neighbor in scale, this collection is user friendly, not requiring hours to fully tour, although one certainly could.

This is one of my favourite places to visit in London, there is always something interesting to see and most of the exhibits are free. Well worth a visit if you have a spare couple of hours in central London.

The National Portrait Museum is worth seeing. It was interesting to see so many faces from different periods. We simply loved this museum. The collection was beyond our expectations.
It is free and without a doubt one of the best attractions in London.

I am really into history so I really enjoyed this museum. Same as the other museums if you have extra time in London and can enjoy some museums then do it. This is probably my favorite, some would probably find it boring but if you can get away from the touristy things and enjoy some "extras" I would recommend it!
