This is a truly great museum and we enjoyed our couple of hours there. The highlight for me was the the collection of Turners and Constables, although there is so much else to see.

It was just few minutes walking from our hotel on Strand Av. There's a square in front of the Gallery building which is always very crowded. It was a cloudy day, but nice temperature.

Very nice place to see, as common British museums are really huge, it has free wifi as well, good for studies if you interest in some area and check-ins.

We all have our favorites that we have to see the first time we visit or want to renew our "friendship" with a certain painting on a return trip. The National Gallery is a wonderful place but there is too much to see in just one visit. If possible, but their art catalog book before going and pick out the rooms you want to see and spend more time with WHAT you want to see but do look at the other art as you pass through a room. For our family, we have to see the Vermeer Paintings each time we go!

This is a must-visit for anyone even remotely interested in History, Literature, Art, Drama or just LIFE.....!
An excellent collection of sculpture and art that chronicles the history of UK and makes it freely available to one and all.
My favourite - Nell Gwyn, Whistlejacket and William Shakespeare.
The National Portrait Gallery next door is a treat too!
