Went to Chinese New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square, but it was raining and so went into the National Gallery instead. It is amazing. I have been before and sampled the modern art of Monet, Renoir etc and there are priceless examples of these. This time, it was the turn of Renaissance. Fantastic! There are early examples of rather unrealistic figures and backgrounds, right through to the photo-realistic work of the Flemish artists and the brilliant colour work of Titan. Highly recommended. The only downsides are the staff who sometimes appear to act more like spoilers than assisters, telling people to take their hoods down, refusing entry to drinks, balloons, telling people off for taking photographs. Would get 5* but for the staff.

The National Gallery is an art museum in Central London. Its located at Trafalgar Square. The closest tube station in Charing Cross.
The museum has got over 2000 painting, mostly portraits. its also free. You can just give them a donation.
Its open every day.

I do recommend it for the art lovers.
Hope you have a good time . :)

Great way to escape the rain, and still free entry! Ever changing collections in many rooms, so stay as short or long as you wish.

Nice museum with some very classic painting. The museum is laid out nice and you can easily spend a whole day here. You could also just go for a few hours, just depends on your level of enjoyment of artwork. If you have the time wortha quick pop in
