“So Much To Do”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

There is so much to do at Southbank. I recommend you check out the website before you go to see what is on. The Real Food Market should definitely be checked out. Also the Roof Gardens is great when the weather is nice. Look for the bright yellow stair case and you will find grass and benches with a great view.
Also some great restaurants to check out

“Queen's Walk, along London's South Bank”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

To enjoy a good winter walk & view the wonderful sights of the capital with a taste of history, this meander along the Thames takes you through the spectacular heart of London.

In summer, the streets can be full of tourists, but riverside paths offer a refuge & are especially peaceful in winter.

I would start at the famous landmark of Westminster Bridge & follow the walkway east along the south bank of the Thames. The London Eye, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern & Shakespeare's Globe are just some of the icons you stroll past, while river views to St Paul's & the grand buildings on the north bank are among the finest in London.

After two miles, after passing under London Bridge almost without noticing, is Tower Bridge.

A very satisfying walk.

“Favorite London location for our family”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

If you've got small children, take them here. We lived in London for 3 months, and this was a favorite location to visit for our 4 year old daughter. We only visited during weekends, and while the Christmas market was on, but it was fabulous! The daughter had a difficult time doing anything in central London...a bit overwhelmed by all the people, buildings, sounds and smells. Tired out by even short, ten minutes or more travel times. But even though South Bank was at least a half hour travel by foot and bus, its type of busy was just magical for her: walking along down the Thames, buying sweets from the market sellers, riding the carousel, watching the African acrobats flying through the air. All the street performers were great, the major hit being the two gentlemen creating gargantuan and sometimes long bubbles. The small children would gather around to jump up in the air, trying to pop these bubbles which were larger than them....too adorable! Lots of restaurants to choose from, and the views across the Thames are magical.
