“An enchanting venue not to be missed”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

Do yourself a favor and grab a relatively inexpensive seat (upper tiers or balcony) to a ballet or opera performance in this magnificent venue. Had you been lucky enough to obtain seats for this classic production of Giselle you will long have memories of seeing a Giselle for the ages with Natalia Osipova in the title role - an ethereal ballerina who you simply cannot take your eyes off of - Carlos Acosta and the entire supremely talented ensemble. Next up, the opera Turandot - which looks to be one not to miss. In any event, make a point to visit this venue and see a performance or take a backstage tour - you will be very glad you did.

“A wonderful day at the ballet”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

I visited the Royal Opera House with my daughters to watch The Nutcracker. It was a fabulous day. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great. Service could have been more attentive but then again it was busy with the show being sold out for months. A very memorable day.

“Watch where you are sitting”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

An elegant place to 'see' an opera- we saw Manon which was delightful BUT it was almost a disaster. Our original seats were on the right side in the boxes and we couldn't see a thing. Fortunately some seats were vacant and we were allowed to move over because otherwise we could have stayed home and listened to a record. These seats were billed as 'restrictive' view but they were literally 'no view'. Be careful

“Always wonderful”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

Don't be put off by people who say it is too expensive, you can get good seats, particularly if you wait for returns, and the ROH stacks up well against the cost of any other West End show. Don't miss the opportunity of seeing something magical - get a ticket and see for yourself. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful company and theatre. Long live the ROH!

It's amazing that there is an opera in the middle of Covent Garden. You can't see it from the outside, but there it is. It's quite expensive and small, but nice. The good thing is the large selection of opera and ballets you can go and see.
