Owner description: Far beneath the majesty and splendor of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protegee Christine Daae is so strong that even her heart cannot resist. The musical opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 26th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End, after more than 10,000 performances. Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerizing score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night.

Cast are very good and well acted. The boat scene with the smoke in the air was the best part of this play.

This play we will never forget. The singers were brilliant the set was very realistic especially the bit were the chandeliers fall, the trip on the boat by the phantom man and the moving stairs. It was so good we promised ourselves to go see again next year when we visit London again.go for it .you'll like it

“From unsure to enthralled”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

I can say that I was never really interested in seeing Phantom. My partner however had wanted to go for several years so I bought tickets for a christmas prsent for the new years eve show.

I was unsure whether I would enjoy the evening but just 5 minutes into the show I was completely enthralled and captivated by the story.
The cast are amazingly talented and the scenery and set up of the show are really something you need to see.

I have to admit having booked last minute, our seats behind a pillar weren't ideal but we still had a fair view. The theatre itself is old but that really does add to the show.

An amazing night out and now we have become a little addicted to the Phantom's story

“Not so good”

I was longing to seeing Phantom of the Opera. I love the music. But compared to other musicals now running, Phantom of the Opera was unfortunately a little disappointing. I expected better acting and singing.
